Nghe An: Highlights of September 16th

The Conference was chaired by the following comrades: Truong Thi Mai - Member of the Political Bureau, Standing Secretary of the Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Department; Tran Tuan Anh - Member of the Political Bureau, Head of the Central Economic Department; Nguyen Trong Nghia - Secretary of the Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Le Minh Khai - Secretary of the Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; Le Minh Hung - Secretary of the Central Committee, Chief of the Central Party Office; Nguyen Khac Dinh - Member of the Central Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Central Executive Committee, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.

Along with 700 delegates at the main venue, the conference was connected online to 655 other locations; including 30 locations at the district level and directly affiliated Party committees, and 625 locations at the commune level and directly affiliated Party branches throughout the province. The total number of officials, civil servants, employees, and citizens participating was approximately 42,000 across 655 locations.

Based on a summary of 10 years of implementing Resolution 26-NQ/TW on the direction and tasks for the development of Nghe An province until 2020, in order for Nghe An to develop rapidly, sustainably, and comprehensively, and to soon become a relatively prosperous province of the country, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW on July 18, 2023, on building and developing Nghe An province until 2030, with a vision to 2045.

This is a document of paramount importance, demonstrating the special attention of the Party and the State to the homeland of our beloved President Ho Chi Minh, creating conditions for Nghe An province to develop in a manner commensurate with its position and role in the North Central region, in line with the wishes and expectations of the Central Government and the people of the whole country.

* Speaking at the Conference,Comrade Tran Tuan Anh- The Politburo member and Head of the Central Economic Committee affirmed that the issuance of Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW by the Politburo continues to demonstrate the Party and State's concern for Nghe An province - the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh.

Comrade Tran Tuan Anh also highlighted the new, prominent, and key points of Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW, emphasizing the objectives set out in the document and the nine tasks and solutions aimed at realizing the resolution in practice.

* Speech presenting the draft Action Program of the Government to implement Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW,Comrade Le Minh Khai- The Party Central Committee Secretary and Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the Government will create, lead, and support Nghe An in implementing this important document.

This involves developing and issuing an Action Program to unify the direction of all levels and sectors in organizing the dissemination, implementation, and concretization of the Resolution, creating a clear transformation in the awareness, actions, and responsibilities of officials, civil servants, and employees at all levels and sectors, as well as the people of Nghe An province, regarding the position and role of Nghe An province in the North Central region, the Central Coastal region, and the whole country; worthy of being the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh.

* Speaking at the Conference,Comrade Nguyen Khac Dinh- A member of the Central Committee of the Party and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly affirmed that the National Assembly Party Caucus will closely coordinate with the Government and Nghe An province to develop new mechanisms and policies for the province.

The comrade stated that, in order to realize Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW, the Politburo assigned the Party Caucus of the National Assembly to lead the review and promulgation of additional specific mechanisms and policies to both continue implementing Resolution No. 36/2021/QH15 of the National Assembly and the goals, tasks, and solutions in the Politburo's Resolution.

The National Assembly Party Committee recognizes that the development of an Action Program to implement Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW of the Politburo requires clearly defining specific tasks and solutions, closely and effectively linking them with the implementation of the Party's 13th National Congress Resolution, and the resolutions, conclusions, and directives of the Politburo and the Secretariat, including Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW and other directly related Party documents; the Action Program of Nghe An province must also be linked to the implementation of the Provincial Party Congress Resolution; at the same time, the Action Program of the Politburo's Resolution may be adjusted and supplemented during implementation.

* Present the draft Action Program,Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, Thai Thanh QuyIt is affirmed that Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province until 2030, with a vision to 2045, is a document of paramount importance, demonstrating the special attention of the Party and State to the homeland of beloved President Ho Chi Minh, creating conditions for Nghe An province to develop in proportion to its position and role in the North Central region, in line with the wishes and expectations of the Central Government and the people of the whole country.

"Deeply aware of the honor and responsibility bestowed by the Central Committee, the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has studied and developed an action program to implement the Resolution with urgency and systematic approach, leveraging the responsibility and intelligence of the collective and individuals," Comrade Thai Thanh Quy emphasized.

* Presentation at the Conference,Comrade Nguyen Chi Dung- The Minister of Planning and Investment stated that Nghe An has an extremely important strategic location, playing the role of a growth pole, a center of the North Central region, and also an important bridge in the North-South and East-West economic corridors. The development policies and strategies over the past period have clearly defined the important role of Nghe An province.

* Concluding the conference, Comrade Truong Thi Mai - Member of the Political Bureau, Standing Member of the Secretariat, and Head of the Central Organization Department - emphasized that for Resolution No. 39 to be implemented effectively, it requires focused, proactive, targeted, and efficient leadership and guidance from Party committees and organizations at all levels, and the political system of Nghe An province.
