Nghe An: Highlights of August 18th

* On the morning of August 18th, at Ho Chi Minh Square, to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh Museum, organized the opening of a thematic exhibition."Radiant Autumn of Independence Day".

* On the afternoon of August 18th, an event took place in Hanoi.Announcement Ceremony of the FTA Index 2025– The index assesses the implementation results of free trade agreements (FTAs) in 34 provinces and cities. Nghe An is honored to be among the provinces and cities that achieved good results, ranking in the top of the FTA Index 2025.

* On the morning of August 18th, the Organizing CommitteeAward CeremonyStudents who won international and national awards, as well as those who achieved high scores in the 2026 High School Graduation Exam, met to review the preparations for the program. Nghe An province allocated nearly 3 billion VND to reward students with outstanding achievements in the 2025-2026 school year.

*Ahead of forecasts of heavy rainfall of 150-300mm,With rainfall exceeding 450mm in some areas from the night of August 17th to 21st, the Prime Minister issued a directive requesting localities in Northern and North Central Vietnam, including Nghe An, to proactively respond, prepare for evacuation, and prevent flash floods and landslides.
