Nghe An: Highlights of January 20th

*On the morning of January 20th (29th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Tiger), welcoming the Year of the Rabbit 2023 and looking forward to the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Party (February 3rd, 1930 - February 3rd, 2023), Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue - Member of the Political Bureau, Chairman of the National Assembly - visited the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site.Offering incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh.

In a solemn atmosphere, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and delegates respectfully laid flowers, offered gifts, and burned incense, observing a moment of silence in remembrance of President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of our Party and people, national liberation hero, and outstanding cultural figure.

President Ho Chi Minh has passed away, but his great achievements and noble example will live forever with the Vietnamese nation.

Over the past year, the National Assembly has demonstrated a high sense of responsibility, focusing its efforts and intellect on resolving a large and important workload with high consensus and agreement, leaving many outstanding marks. The quality, professionalism, and effectiveness of legislative work, supervision, addressing citizens' petitions, making decisions on important issues, and foreign affairs have steadily improved.

In this solemn moment, the Chairman of the National Assembly and the delegation pledged to forever study and follow the noble thoughts, ethics, and style of President Ho Chi Minh.

*Next, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the delegation visited Nam Giang commune, Nam Dan district.giving gifts to wish Happy New YearFamilies receiving government assistance and impoverished households in Nam Dan district, Nghe An province.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue presented funding to support the construction of 10 solidarity houses, each worth 60 million VND, for 10 poor households facing housing difficulties; he also presented 10 gifts to exemplary families with meritorious contributions; and 200 gifts to policy beneficiary families and families in difficult circumstances in Nam Dan district.

*Joining in the festive atmosphere with the people of Nghe An province in celebrating the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit, on the morning of January 20th, Comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, and Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission - visited the province.Visiting and giving gifts to wish Happy New Year.Outstanding contributors and impoverished households in Dien Chau district.

Speaking at the program, Comrade Phan Dinh Trac, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee, emphasized that in recent years, the Party and the State have always paid attention to implementing many sustainable poverty reduction programs, building new rural areas, and developing socio-economic conditions, thereby aiming to improve the material and spiritual lives of the people.

Every Lunar New Year, Party and State leaders show their concern for the people across all 63 provinces and cities nationwide. Specifically during the Year of the Rabbit 2023, the country distributed over 3 million Tet gifts to policy beneficiary households, the poor, and households facing extreme difficulties.

On this occasion, Comrade Phan Dinh Trac presented Tet gifts to 10 exemplary families of war veterans; donated funds to support the construction of 10 solidarity houses for 10 particularly disadvantaged families; and presented symbolic plaques representing 1,000 gift packages for 1,000 poor households with particularly difficult circumstances in the area, to be directly distributed to the people by Dien Chau district and the communes.

*Forecastfuel consumption demandPrices are expected to increase during the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit 2023, but businesses in Nghe An province are committed to ensuring sufficient supply for people to enjoy the spring festivities and celebrate the New Year.

According to a report from the Department of Industry and Trade, Nghe An's fuel consumption demand is approximately 50,000 - 60,000 cubic meters.³Fuel consumption per month. During Tet (Lunar New Year), fuel consumption will increase by approximately 15-20%. At this time, fuel distributors in Nghe An province have developed plans to serve customers during Tet and throughout 2023.

*Regarding serving the needs of people during Tet (Lunar New Year), while in previous years ATMs in rural districts of Nghe An province often experienced long queues for cash withdrawals in the days leading up to Tet, this year...This situation has improved significantly.

According to our investigation, banks have proactively reviewed and monitored the cash levels in ATMs, determining the frequency of cash replenishment and the amount of money for each replenishment to ensure that the machines always have sufficient cash to meet customer transaction needs during the Tet holiday. Banks have also set up hotlines at all ATMs so that customers can proactively contact them in case of any problems during transactions.
