Nghe An: Highlights of October 20th

*On the morning of October 20th, an event took place at the VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park.Groundbreaking ceremony for a project specializing in the production of electronic components., communication equipment and consumer electronics products. The project is expected to be operational by September 2023 and employ approximately 8,000 workers by 2025, with around 2,000 workers starting to be recruited in 2023; notably, the project includes accommodation for approximately 12,400 experts and workers with full amenities.

*On the morning of October 20th,Board of Representatives of the Provincial Social Policy BankThe 73rd regular meeting was held. At the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Hong Vinh, suggested that solutions to mobilize capital sources should continue to be implemented; and at the same time, the implementation of preferential credit programs under Resolution No. 11 and the 2% interest rate support package should be inspected and supervised to prevent abuse of the policy.

*Overall planCentral government budget allocated to Nghe An province.The implementation of 3 national target programs for the period 2021-2025, including: building new rural areas, socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, and sustainable poverty reduction, amounted to over 4,931 billion VND, with over 1,295 billion VND allocated specifically for 2022.

*The main road from Muong Xen town to Tay Son commune is considered the most difficult route in Ky Son district at this time due to the flash flood that caused damage.Many sections of the road were completely destroyed.Huge boulders blocked the road, disrupting traffic and threatening the lives of people traveling through the area.

*According to information from the Chau Phong commune authorities, Quy Chau district, the area has recently experienced a surge in activity.A food poisoning incident occurred.This resulted in three people being hospitalized. On the morning of October 19th, Mr. Lu Van Thai (47 years old) went to the field and found a bag of yellow eggs. Mistaking them for frog eggs, he brought them home to prepare for breakfast with his children. As a result, all three had to be rushed to the emergency room.
