* On April 20th, provincial leaders visited and presented gifts to the Dien Bien Phu soldiers, wounded soldiers, and civilian workers who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
The provincial delegation was led by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu.Visiting and giving gifts to wounded soldiers, Dien Bien Phu veterans, youth volunteers, and civilian workers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign and are currently living in Dien Chau district and Vinh city.
In Dien Chau district, the provincial delegation visited Dien Bien Phu veteran Bui Dinh Hoe, born in 1927, in Dien Hoa commune; and visited and presented gifts to Mr. Le Van Giao, born in 1930, in Dien Cat commune.
In Vinh City, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee visited and presented gifts to Mr. Dinh Van Lam, born in 1934, residing in Hung Hoa commune; and visited and presented gifts to Mr. Pham Duc Minh, born in 1937, residing in Hung Loc commune.

Following the merger of Nghia Phu commune into Nghia Tho commune, the new administrative unit is expected to be named Nghia Tho commune; and the merger of Nghia Hieu commune into Nghia Thinh commune into Nghia Hung commune is expected to result in the new administrative unit being named Nghia Hung commune. Voters highly agree with the merger plan proposed by the district government.
