Nghe An: Highlights of August 20th

*SOn August 20th, Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee - chaired a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.Provide feedback on the draft documents.Preparing for the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, before submitting it to the Politburo for approval.

Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy suggested that the theme of the Congress, which is also the title of the Political Report, be revised to: "Building a clean and strong Party organization and political system; promoting the will and aspiration to strive forward; proactively innovating and creating, bringing Nghe An to rapid and sustainable development."

Regarding the overall objectives, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized the need to adhere closely to and implement President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts in his last letter to the Provincial Party Committee on July 21, 1969, and Resolution 26 of the Politburo. Therefore, the content "striving to make Nghe An a province with a relatively high level of development in the Central region by 2025" should be revised to "striving to make Nghe An a province with a relatively high level of development in the Northern region by 2025".

Hoang Mai town aims to develop into a coastal urban area linked to tourism, services, trade, education, healthcare, finance, and budget, anticipating the development of the South Thanh Hoa - North Nghe An region. This direction is also being identified in the draft Political Report for the 19th Provincial Party Congress. In the long term, Hoang Mai town will become a port city connected to logistics, services, and supply chain support for development… The Hoang Mai Town Party Congress will take place on August 25th and 26th, 2020.

*CAlso on the afternoon of August 20th, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committeeworking with the Standing Committee of the Party CommitteeVinh University of Technology and Education on preparations for the 26th Party Congress of the University, term 2020-2025.

During the 2015-2020 term, the Party Committee of the University played a leading role in guiding and developing major programs and projects of the University. The political and ideological situation among cadres, Party members, staff, students, and pupils remained stable. Party building work received attention and made significant progress. The organizational structure was basically arranged to suit the scale and development of the University.

*SOn August 20th, the Provincial People's Committee organized...Closing ceremony and awards presentationThe online competition "Understanding the Control of Administrative Procedures and the Provision and Use of Public Services" on the Nghe An Provincial Electronic Information Portal in 2020 resulted in 4 teams winning weekly prizes, 5 teams winning prizes over 4 weeks, and 42 individuals winning prizes, with 64 awards presented by the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.

*COn the afternoon of August 20th, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to hear and give opinions.3 draft resolutions of the Provincial People's Council,These include: Resolution on collecting entrance fees for historical sites, museums, and cultural works; Resolution on mechanisms and policies to support cultural titles in the "All People Unite to Build a Culturally Rich Life" movement in Nghe An province; Resolution on policies to support the construction of some cultural and sports facilities at the grassroots level in the area.

*SOn August 20th, a delegation from the Nghe An Health Department, consisting of 2 intensive care physicians, 2 infectious disease physicians, 2 laboratory physicians, 3 hematology technicians, 4 biochemistry technicians, and 3 microbiology technicians, officially arrived.set off to provide support.For the COVID-19 prevention and control efforts in Da Nang city, all doctors, nurses, and medical technicians are heading off to fulfill their duty with the goal: "We are determined to win, and we will return home once the pandemic is over."

*COn the afternoon of August 20th, the working group ofThe Department of Industry and Trade inspects the goods situation.To proactively prevent the spread of Covid-19 at supermarkets, markets, and warehouses in Vinh City.

Inspections revealed that the units generally complied strictly with disease prevention and control measures for employees as well as those involved in buying and selling goods. In addition, businesses committed to ensuring sufficient supply of goods, maintaining reserves of consumer items; increasing the supply of essential goods to meet consumer demand, preventing shortages and ensuring goods are sold at prices higher than the listed prices in the system; and developing scenarios and response plans for the epidemic.

*CAlso related to the Covid-19 prevention and control work, on the morning of August 20th, the People's Committee of Do Luong districtorganize the handover ceremonyThe citizens have completed their centralized quarantine period. Among those quarantined were 213 students and international students from Laos studying or working at universities, and 9 citizens from districts, towns, and cities in Nghe An province.

*Bhospital securityFound over 11 million VND.Returning the lost money to its owner. This commendable act took place on the morning of August 20th, when Mr. Nguyen Van Trang, a security guard at a hospital in Quynh Luu district, found a bag containing 11.5 million VND that a patient had dropped and returned it to the owner.

Upon finding the money, the security team immediately reported it to their superiors, verified the information, and returned it directly to the owner, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong (born in 1966, residing in Quynh Nghia commune, Quynh Luu district). Ms. Hong was a patient at the hospital and accidentally dropped the money while completing procedures without realizing it. Only after the announcement over the hospital's loudspeaker system did she search for her money and documents, only to find they were gone.
