*Following the reopening of the Nam Can International Border Gate on May 9, 2022, the Lao government continues to allow border crossings.Reopening main and secondary border crossings.Along the border, there are border crossings to facilitate entry and exit activities. Nghe An province has a border stretching over 468 km, bordering three provinces of Laos: Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan, and Bolikhamsai. Along this border, in addition to the Nam Can International Border Gate (Ky Son district), there is also the Thanh Thuy Border Gate (Thanh Chuong district), three sub-border gates at Cao Veu (Anh Son district), Thong Thu (Que Phong district), and Tam Hop (Tuong Duong district), along with many other border crossings.

Mr. Vi Oanh, Head of the Agriculture and Rural Development Department of Ky Son district, said: The road from Chieu Luu commune to Bao Thang commune has been repaired and reopened to traffic on the afternoon of September 19th. The roads from the center of Bao Nam commune to the three villages of Huoi Hoc, Luu Tan, and Thao Di are still closed. Specifically, the Xop Thap culvert on the road from Huu Lap commune to Bao Nam commune still has high, fast-flowing water. Vehicles cannot yet pass through, and people needing to cross have to carry their motorbikes across.

*From September 12th to 18th, the Nghe An Provincial Police took the lead, mobilizing maximum forces in coordination with relevant agencies.Inspections were conducted on 221 out of 424 karaoke establishments, bars, and nightclubs.As a result, penalties were imposed on violators; 45 establishments were temporarily suspended or ordered to cease operations for failing to maintain fire safety conditions during operation, seriously violating fire safety regulations.
