* On the morning of January 21st,Nghi Xuan commune, Nghi Loc district(Nghe An) solemnly organized the ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the commune's establishment (1953 - 2023), received the Third-Class Labor Medal, and announced the Decision that the commune has achieved the advanced New Rural Area standard.
Throughout its history and before the August Revolution of 1945, Nghi Xuan commune went through many periods with different names. In 1945-1946, Nghi Xuan was part of Nghi Phong commune; from 1947-1953, it was part of Ngu Hai commune. At the end of 1953, Nghi Xuan commune was established by splitting from Ngu Hai commune. In the flow of national history, Nghi Xuan proudly boasts a land of outstanding people and a homeland that connects and embodies the rich traditions and admirable qualities of the people of Nghe An province.
Nghi Xuan commune has the honor of being awarded the title of "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" twice by the Party and the State; 1 First-Class Labor Medal, 4 Third-Class Labor Medals, and 1 Third-Class Military Merit Medal.
Nghi Xuan had the honor of being the first commune in Nghi Loc district to achieve the new rural standard in 2014. In 2023, the commune was recognized as achieving the advanced new rural standard.
At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue presented the Third-Class Labor Order awarded by the President of Vietnam to the Party Committee, government, and people of Nghi Xuan commune; and presented flowers and a congratulatory painting to Nghi Xuan commune.
On the eve of the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue presented 200 gift packages worth a total of 200 million VND to disadvantaged families in Nghi Loc district.

* From January 16-20, 2024, a delegation from the 4th Military Region Command, led by Major General Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Deputy Commander of the 4th Military Region, visited...Wishing a Happy New Year to the officers and staff of the teams responsible for collecting the remains of fallen soldiers.Currently on duty in the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
Extending New Year greetings to officers and staff of the repatriation teams under the Military Command of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Quang Binh provinces, Major General Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4 - acknowledged and commended the officers and staff for their work in carrying out their duties.
To date, the teams responsible for collecting the remains of fallen soldiers in Military Region 4 have searched for and collected 80 remains of fallen soldiers in the Lao People's Democratic Republic, including: the team from the Nghe An Provincial Military Command collected 45 remains, the team from the Ha Tinh Provincial Military Command collected 7 remains, and the team from the Quang Binh Provincial Military Command collected 10 remains.

* On the afternoon of January 21st, at the VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park, the Trade Union of the Southeast Economic Zone held a meeting.Organizing the program "Tet Reunion - Spring Sharing 2024"The program was attended by representatives from provincial departments and agencies, management boards of economic zones and industrial parks, and nearly 1,700 union members and workers.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024 (Year of the Dragon), from the operating budget of the Trade Union of the Southeast Economic Zone and with the support of sponsoring businesses and organizations, the Trade Union of the Southeast Economic Zone of Nghe An province allocated over 1 billion VND to organize activities to care for and support during Tet, including giving gifts to more than 1,100 disadvantaged workers who have strived to improve their lives and work.

* Contrary to the annual pattern,building materials marketIn Nghe An province, the end-of-year market remains sluggish, with sales difficult despite the construction season having begun several months ago; many goods are experiencing large stockpiles, such as bricks, cement, stone, and sand.
According to experts, in recent times, public and civil construction projects have declined, with many not yet started or only in the early stages, resulting in low demand for construction materials such as sand, bricks, and cement. Meanwhile, projects such as the North-South expressway, the coastal road, and the N5 road section in Tan Ky... are nearing completion, further reducing the demand for construction materials.

* On the morning of January 21st, along with the activity of the Nam Can border market and the increase in the number of trucks carrying goods passing through,causing traffic congestionon the main road of Nam Can commune.
According to the leaders of the Nậm Cắn commune People's Committee, at the year-end Nậm Cắn border market, the number of people and vehicles participating increases many times compared to normal days, especially private cars. In addition, the increase in trucks carrying goods and ore from Laos causes frequent traffic congestion.
Currently, to address traffic congestion, the government and relevant authorities are making efforts to reroute and regulate traffic to alleviate bottlenecks.
