* The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has just sent a document to localities requestingreview of areas applying minimum wage.

According to Decree No. 74/2024/ND-CP, the Government has adjusted the minimum wage to increase by an average of 6%, effective from July 1, 2024. After adjustment, the monthly minimum wage in Region I is 4.96 million VND, Region II is 4.41 million VND, Region III is 3.86 million VND, Region IV is 3.45 million VND.

* The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has just issued Plan No. 305-KH/TU dated February 20, 2025 to disseminate, propagate and implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo onbreakthrough in science and technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee requested that the dissemination and propaganda of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW must be carried out urgently, seriously, practically and effectively; focusing on innovating the content and dissemination methods to suit the practical situation of localities, agencies and units.

* According to Nghe An Employment Service Center, in early 2025, the whole province had 44 enterpriseshave recruitment needsover 17,000 employees.

In the first months of 2025, businesses in the province are implementing policies to attract workers to work, fill production lines, and meet the quality and progress of orders.

* After Nghe An Newspaper published an article reflecting, manyteachers, contract workersin schools in Vinh City have been paid. Along with that, Vinh City is also reviewing the records, giving priority to recruiting these people into the payroll.

“Thus, in the short term, teachers and contract employees at schools will continue to be paid salaries from the city’s budget. In the long term, the city will also prioritize recruiting them into the payroll for stability,” said a leader of the Vinh City Department of Internal Affairs.

* Currently, Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock CompanyTree relocation is underwayalong Dinh Cong Trang street.

Vinh City will remove some diseased, crooked and unsuitable sized trees and replace them with street trees. Specifically, it plans to relocate 206 trees; replant 44 trees and plant 173 new Lagerstroemia trees from 5.5 to 6m high.

* On February 20, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Thanh An signed the decisionsadministrative sanctionsin the field of road and railway traffic for 3 drivers violating alcohol concentration. The total fine amounted to more than 100 million VND.
