The OCOP program is a rural economic development program focused on endogenous development and value enhancement, contributing to economic restructuring, improving people's income and living standards, and effectively implementing the "Economy and Production Organization" criteria group in the National Criteria Set for New Rural Communes in the 2016-2020 period.

To date, Nghe An is one of the leading provinces nationwide in the number of OCOP-certified products (nationwide, there are 1,928 products with 3 stars or more, averaging 30.6 products per province/city). In 2020, according to preliminary reports, localities have selected approximately 60 products to complete the dossiers for provincial evaluation and classification. Therefore, it can be said that by the end of 2020, we will likely achieve and surpass the target of having 90 products with 3 stars or more under the OCOP program.

*MDangers along the borderIn Nghe An province, a photo report by a reporter from Nghe An Newspaper shows that landslides frequently occur on National Highway 16 during storms, and rocks falling from the mountains threaten the lives of road users.

National Highway 16 is a vital route nearly 150 km long, running along border communes from Que Phong to Tuong Duong and then Ky Son. This road connects National Highway 48 with National Highway 7.
