The OCOP program is a rural economic development program in the direction of endogenous development and value addition, contributing to economic restructuring, improving income and living standards for people and effectively implementing the criteria group "Economy and production organization" in the National Criteria Set on new rural communes for the period 2016 - 2020.

Up to now, Nghe An is one of the leading provinces in the country in terms of the number of products achieving OCOP stars (the whole country has 1,928 products achieving 3 stars or more, each province/city has an average of 30.6 products). In 2020, up to this point, according to the preliminary report, localities have selected about 60 products to complete the dossier to request the province to evaluate and classify. Thus, it can be said that, by the end of 2020, we will likely reach and exceed the target of having 90 products achieving 3 OCOP stars or more.

National Highway 16 is a vital route of nearly 150 km running along the border communes from Que Phong to Tuong Duong and then Ky Son. This route connects National Highway 48 with National Highway 7.

*GAs the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, authorities are having another headache.smuggling problem, especially moon cakes and children's toys. In fact, the transportation and trading of smuggled goods, goods of unknown origin and poor quality not only violates the law but also causes insecurity for consumers.

Up to now, through coordination, Nghe An Market Management Department has confiscated 7,630 moon cakes of unknown origin, with a total fine of nearly 50 million VND, and nearly 1,300 children's toys that are smuggled and banned goods of all kinds with a total fine of nearly 100 million VND.

*NOn September 22, Nghe An Provincial People's Court opened a first-instance criminal trial to try Mac Thi Le Quyen (born in 1984, from Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district), registered permanent residence in Nghi Kim commune, Vinh city, for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".

Although disabled with withered legs, Mac Thi Le Quyen still brags that she works at the Department of Home Affairs of Nghe An province and can run staff at hospitals, schools, hydroelectric plants, etc. for anyone in need.
