(Baonghean.vn) - The two main news items on July 24th were the Provincial People's Committee's approval of the draft Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee on promoting administrative reform and activities to honor war invalids and martyrs on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27th).

According to the report of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, during the period 2011-2020, the provincial departments and levels paid attention to leadership and direction, resulting in significant progress in administrative reform. In recent years, according to the results announced by the Government's Steering Committee for Administrative Reform, the province's administrative reform index has improved its ranking year by year.

The Provincial People's Committee aims to achieve the following goals by 2025: the Public Administration Reform Index (PAR index), the Public Administration and Governance Effectiveness Index (PAPI), and the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) within the top 15; and the Information and Communication Technology Readiness Index (ICT-index) within the top 10 provinces and cities nationwide. The goal for the 2026-2030 period is to further improve the rankings of these indices compared to 2025.

The Vietnam-Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery is the resting place of nearly 11,000 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who fought and sacrificed their lives in Laos.

According to information from Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company, at 9:45 AM on July 24th, the water level at Ban Ang Hydropower Reservoir in Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district, increased by 400 meters.3/s, and potentially increasing to 500-1,000 m3/s within the next 4-6 hours.

To ensure the safe operation of the Ban Ang Hydropower Plant reservoir, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue issued Notice No. 113/TB-PCTT regarding the operation and water regulation of the Ban Ang Hydropower Plant reservoir in Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district.

*LRegarding the heavy rains in recent days, on the morning of July 24th, several mountainous districts in Nghe An province experienced a similar situation.Landslides and flooding have affected many roads.

Rain has caused landslides in several locations in the communes of Muong Long, Ta Ca, and Bao Thang (Ky Son district), damaging many public and residential facilities due to rain and debris.
