Nghe An: Highlights of October 25th

On the morning of October 25th, the National Assembly held an online discussion on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Criminal Procedure Code. The Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy delivered a speech explaining and clarifying some issues raised by National Assembly deputies.

*LRegarding the Covid-19 situation, on the morning of October 25th, the Nghe An Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported: In the 12 hours from 6:00 PM on October 24th to 6:00 AM on October 25th, Nghe An25 new positive cases were recorded.With Covid-19 cases in 10 localities (Vinh City: 13, Ky Son: 3, Tan Ky: 2, Do Luong: 1, Anh Son: 1, Tuong Duong: 1, Nghia Dan: 1, Quy Hop: 1, Yen Thanh: 1, Quynh Luu: 1). Of these, 11 cases are in lockdown areas, 2 cases are F1 contacts, and 12 cases are from southern provinces.

*SOn October 25th, the Do Luong District Medical Center announced that medical staff were working urgently.Taking samples for Covid-19 testing.For all residents of Hamlet 3 (Trang Son Commune), after a case was recorded there.

This patient was found to be infected with Covid-19 while in quarantine after returning from a southern epidemic area, but had dozens of close contacts (F1 contacts).

*Tsafe adaptation butWe cannot be complacent about Covid-19.– This is the issue at present. According to statistics, from October 7th (the day the first case was recorded, a person returning from southern provinces and cities) until now, Nghe An has had an additional 365 Covid-19 patients, including many community infections.

In Vinh City alone, there have been 69 F0 cases in the past 10 days, so adapting safely to the epidemic is correct, but if "adapting" leads to complacency and a lack of vigilance, it will be a major risk.

*VAnd in a related development, on the morning of October 25th,Field Hospital No. 8Nghe An officially begins operations, receiving Covid-19 patients for treatment.

Nghe An Field Hospital No. 8 is located in Zone B of Nghe An Friendship General Hospital; it has a capacity of 1,000 beds. The hospital was established on October 15, 2021, according to Decision No. 3807/QD-UBND of the People's Committee of Nghe An province. Accordingly, the hospital will receive, screen, isolate, provide emergency care, monitor, and treat suspected and confirmed cases of mild to moderate Covid-19 in the province.

*TFor the past two days, some gas stations in Que Phong district have been experiencing problems.hang up a sign saying "Out of gas"This has caused difficulties for people when buying gasoline and diesel. Some believe that these gas stations are deliberately hoarding fuel in anticipation of a possible price increase tomorrow (October 26).

*TAccording to information from the Trung Do ward authorities in Vinh City, a child went missing in the ward on the evening of October 24th.

According to relatives and neighbors, between 4:30 and 5:00 PM on October 24th, Tuan, wearing a dark purple shirt with red and white stripes on the chest and black striped foam sandals, was playing soccer with friends when the ball rolled into the river. He chased after the ball and disappeared.
