Nghe An: Highlights on August 27

*Lao Ministry of Justice affirms cooperationeffectively address issues related to border areasbordering Vietnam.

This is the content presented at the working session between the Ministry of Justice delegation and representatives of 10 provinces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam, together with the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam organized in Nghe An province. Through this conference, ministries, branches and leaders of provinces sharing the border of both sides discussed, evaluated the results, and proposed solutions to improve the effectiveness of solving the problem of free migration and unregistered marriages between people on both sides of the border.

Lao Minister of Justice, Comrade Phay-vi-Xibuali-pha affirmed that the 40-year tradition of legal and judicial cooperation between Vietnam and Laos has brought about many practical results, not only helping people in the villages on both sides of the border stabilize their lives and firmly protect the national border, but also contributing to fostering the special and loyal friendship between the two peoples.

In the coming time, the Lao Ministry of Justice hopes that ministries and authorities at all levels of the two sides will continue to cooperate and implement solutions to further improve work efficiency, especially in solving the problems of illegal migration and unregistered marriages.

Regarding the legal and judicial cooperation between Vietnam and Laos over the past 40 years, the representative of the Department of Judicial System Management and Promotion, Lao Ministry of Justice said that this is the content implemented according to the Decision dated July 8, 2013 of the two governments of Laos and Vietnam on solving the problem of free migration and unregistered marriage in the Laos-Vietnam border area, implementing the Minutes of the 30th Conference of the Delegation of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the work of naturalizing Lao nationality for Vietnamese citizens living in the Lao border area.

*Vinh – Cua Lo Road Project Phase 2is an important traffic project of the province at present. The construction project of inner lanes, sidewalks, bridges, and median strips is being accelerated by construction units to compete with the weather.

Vinh - Cua Lo Road is the largest and most important route connecting Vinh with Cua Lo, a modern and practical planned axis specifically for the policy of merging Vinh city and Cua Lo town.

The project started construction at the end of July 2022 to expand urban planning, complete the transport network, create a basis to attract construction investment, promote socio-economic development of the whole region; contribute significantly to the implementation and completion of the Project to develop Vinh city, Nghe An province into an economic and cultural center of the North Central region in the spirit of Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Decision 827 of the Prime Minister approving the Vinh urban development project until 2023.

The training course spends time discussing, discussing, and clarifying difficult or confusing issues in implementing Party building tasks that take place in practice at grassroots units.

The requirements for trainees through this training course are to grasp the core content of oral propaganda skills; recognize and distinguish the similarities and differences between rumors and public opinion, methods of capturing public opinion and how to process information and public opinion.

*In late August, while students across the country were busy preparing for the first day of school, in Lang Son commune (Anh Son district),Many children are at risk of not being able to go to school.because their parents objected to the school transfer. Meanwhile, the merger of Lang Son Secondary School with Khai Son Secondary School was carried out 4 years ago. Grade 9 students in Lang Son commune have also transferred to the new school, Khai Lang Secondary School (located in Khai Son commune), and have been studying stably since 2018.

According to the leader of Lang Son commune, recently, many parents have declared that they will not let their 9th grade students continue to go to school, to protest the merger. This not only affects the school's preparation for the new school year but also affects the rights of the students.

Talking to Nghe An Newspaper reporter, Mr. Le Dinh Ha - Principal of Khai Lang Secondary School said that the merger but still maintaining 2 schools caused problems in arranging teachers. There were times when a teacher had to travel to 2 schools, which was very difficult. With the merged block, it was not until grade 9 that students returned to the same school, the number of students was redistributed, it took time to get used to and stabilize. Meanwhile, this was an important school year, it was necessary to strengthen teaching to prepare for the entrance exam to grade 10.

Currently, regarding this issue, Anh Son district and relevant agencies have made efforts to resolve it.

*On the morning of August 27, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held the Opening Ceremony of the 6th Nghe An Agriculture and Rural Development Sports Congress in 2022.

Sports Festival of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe AnThis year, nearly 700 athletes from 38 agencies, units and businesses in the province participated. The athletes competed in 5 sports including: football, men's volleyball, women's volleyball, badminton and tug of war.
