This year, Dien Chau district planted nearly 1,000 hectares of peanuts in the winter crop, an increase of 100 hectares compared to 2019. According to surveys and general assessments, this year's peanut harvest is bountiful, with an average yield of 26 quintals/hectare across the district. In some well-cared-for areas, yields are even higher. However, the District Department of Agriculture and Rural Development advises localities and farmers not to expand planting areas excessively in the coming years simply because of the good harvest and high prices, as this will negatively impact product sales. Instead, they should carefully research the market and focus on product quality to enhance the value of peanuts.
