Nghe An: Highlights of October 3rd

*SOn October 3rd, in Vinh City, Comrade Phung Xuan Nha - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Minister of Education and Training - and his delegation worked with the leaders of Nghe An province and Vinh University.
Working with the Minister and the delegation on behalf of Nghe An province were: Mr. Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments and agencies; leaders of Vinh University, Vinh Medical University, and Nghe An University of Economics.

During the meeting, the delegation from the Ministry of Education and Training and the leaders of Nghe An province discussed solutions for reviewing and building the network of educational institutions.school buildings and equipmentEspecially for the western region of Nghe An province, which includes 5 mountainous districts.
Currently, the province still has 1,255 temporary or borrowed classrooms; from now until 2025, the average annual need for investment in permanent classroom construction is approximately 1,000 classrooms.
In addition, there is the issue of developing a sufficient number of teachers and educational management staff. While Nghe An province received an additional 7,843 positions for the education sector in 2020, it needs to add 3,500 teachers from 2021 to 2025 (1,000 preschool teachers, 2,000 secondary school teachers, and 500 high school teachers).
The two sides also discussed solutions for developing the province's human resources; coordinating leadership and guidance to develop Vinh University into a driving force for the development of Nghe An in particular and the North Central region in general, while also creating a ripple effect for the development of universities and colleges in the area.
At the meeting, Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha agreed to implement the Ministry's pilot model for building boarding schools in the mountainous areas of Nghe An province. *NOn October 3rd, in Hanoi, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam presided over the meeting.National online conferenceof the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
In Vietnam, there have been no new community infections for 31 days. The total number of COVID-19 cases remains at 1,096, with 35 deaths and 1,020 recoveries. According to the Steering Committee, the epidemic situation in Vietnam has been largely brought under control.
In Nghe An,Currently, no cases of Covid-19 have been recorded.
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam once again urged all localities, ministries, and sectors not to be complacent or negligent, lest the epidemic re-emerge. He also requested that all levels and sectors, especially the two major cities, strictly control all entry points into Vietnam, particularly illegal entry.

*SOn October 3rd, in Cua Lo town (Nghe An province), the Vietnam Children's Protection Fundprogram organizersFirst Meeting of Dan Lai ethnic minority children and children with special circumstances in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in 2020.
The first-ever program to meet with children of the Dan Lai ethnic group and children from disadvantaged backgrounds in ethnic minority and mountainous regions aimed to create opportunities for children from different ethnic groups to meet and interact with each other. The program involved 96 children aged 10 to 15 from 9 mountainous provinces: Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Ngai.
In particular, there were 30 children from the Dan Lai ethnic group from Mon Son commune.Con Cuong district, Nghe An province.

*SOn October 3rd, Con Cuong district (Nghe An province) held the opening ceremony for the examination.assessment of officials and civil servantsParty organizations, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and other socio-political organizations.
Thirty-nine officials and civil servants from the Party, the Fatherland Front, and other socio-political organizations in the district participated in this assessment exam.
The purpose of the civil servant examination is to test civil servants' understanding of the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations in each professional field, while also accurately assessing the actual level of professional competence, skills, and problem-solving abilities required for each job position.

*SOn October 3rd, Vinh Medical University held a solemn ceremony.organize a graduation ceremony.and awarding Bachelor's and College degrees for the 2020 academic year.
In 2020, Vinh Medical University had 649 new doctors and graduates; including 552 undergraduate students in Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Public Health; and 97 college students in Nursing and Pharmacy. The percentage of graduates with good and excellent grades was over 90%. At the ceremony, 104 students who graduated with excellent grades received certificates of merit and awards from the University.

*COn the afternoon of October 3rd, at the Soviet-Nghe Tinh Museum, the Central Emulation Cluster of the Party and Mass Organizations under the Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies of Nghe An Province organized a program.activities of the entire Youth Union2020.

*KAt approximately 12:30 PM on October 3rd, on National Highway 1A, in the section passing through Hamlet 14, Dien Thinh Commune, Dien Chau District, Nghe An Province, a truck (license plate 29H 07085)blazing fiercelyThe Nghe An Provincial Police Fire Department mobilized two fire trucks and dozens of firefighters to the scene to extinguish the fire. Approximately 30 minutes later, the fire was brought under control.
The fire caused no casualties, but the vehicle and its cargo were completely destroyed.
