* COn the afternoon of February 3rd, in Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Government's Steering Committee for Administrative Reform, chaired the 3rd meeting of the Steering Committee, summarizing the work of 2022 and implementing tasks for 2023.
Presiding over the meeting from Nghe An were: Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Emphasizing the key tasks for 2023, the Prime Minister requested ministries, sectors, and localities to continue to accelerate the review and issuance of specific and practical solutions to effectively implement the 2023 and future action plans to create breakthroughs in administrative reform, bring about changes in awareness and actions, and produce tangible and measurable results; contributing to the Government's successful fulfillment of the action motto "Unity, discipline, courage, flexibility, innovation, timeliness, and effectiveness".
Noting that 2023 has been designated as the year of national data development, the Prime Minister requested that ministries, sectors, and localities focus on building their own data systems to better serve digital transformation and contribute to administrative reform – one of the key tasks in building a socialist rule of law state.

On the same day, the leaders of Con Cuong district visited and offered incense and flowers at the historical site of Mr. Vi Van Khang's house in Thai Hoa village, Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district. This is where the first Party branch in southwestern Nghe An province was established.

*SOn February 3rd, Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee,The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting with leaders of the World Bank.(WB) in Vietnam reports on the progress of the project “Priority Infrastructure and Climate Change Adaptation Urban Development in Vinh City, Nghe An Province”, funded by a WB loan.
The project “Priority Infrastructure and Climate Change Adaptation Urban Development in Vinh City, Nghe An Province” comprises four components: Component 1: Integrated investment in drainage, sanitation, and connectivity; Component 2: Expanding storage capacity to reduce urban flooding; Component 3: Upgrading the Vinh River; and Component 4: Developing systems and capacity to improve climate-adaptive urban development. The total investment is US$194.5 million, of which US$129.6 million is requested from the World Bank.
Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the leaders of Nghe An province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung thanked the World Bank leaders for their attention to the province in general, as well as to the proposed project.
Ms. Carolyn Turk, World Bank Country Director for Vietnam, highly appreciated the province's determination in accessing WB funding to implement the project. She also stated that the WB office in Vietnam is ready to support Nghe An in completing the dossier for submission to the Ministry of Finance. Furthermore, she will inform the WB headquarters in Washington DC, USA, about the province's progress in fulfilling the project's requirements.
