*On the morning of September 3rd,National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh HueTogether with leaders from the Central Committee and leaders from Nghe An province, we attended the Opening Ceremony of the 2022-2023 school year and the inauguration and handover of the Ky Son High School project.

Established in 1967, over 55 years of development and growth, Ky Son High School has changed its name five times: Ky Son Highland Youth School, Ky Son Highland High School, Ky Son Ethnic Boarding High School, Ky Son Ethnic Boarding High School, and as of August 2013, it has been Ky Son High School.

In the 2022-2023 school year, Ky Son High School had 39 classes with 1,607 students, of which 1,529 were ethnic minority students from 21 communes and towns in Ky Son district.

Along with the joy of welcoming the new school year, teachers and students of the school are delighted to be studying in a new school building with modern facilities, equipment, and machinery, funded by Trung Nam Group. The upgrade, renovation, and new construction, totaling approximately 210 billion VND, took place after more than 9 months of intensive "turnkey" construction.

Speaking at the ceremony, expressing his pleasure at attending the Opening Ceremony of the 2022-2023 school year and the inauguration and handover of the Ky Son High School project, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue was moved by the efforts and endeavors of generations of teachers and students of the school throughout the past 55 years.

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue presented a commemorative gift to Ky Son High School, beat the drum to inaugurate the new school year 2022-2023, and planted a commemorative tree in the school grounds.

*On the morning of September 3rd, Thanh Chuong 1 High School (Thanh Chuong district) held a ceremony to celebrate its 60th anniversary andWe are honored to receive the Third-Class Labor Medal.(Second time) along with the Certificate of Recognition for achieving National Standard School status in 2022.

Over the past 60 years, the school has trained more than 30,000 high school graduates; of which nearly 10,000 have been admitted to universities and colleges. Notably, many students have become leaders and managers in Party and State agencies at all levels; senior officers in the Army, professors, doctors, People's Teachers, Excellent Teachers, People's Artists, successful entrepreneurs, talented writers, poets, journalists, and outstanding workers and producers…

In recognition of the school's achievements, the Party and State have bestowed upon it the following prestigious titles: Third-Class Labor Medal (1996); Second-Class Labor Medal (2001); First-Class Labor Medal (2008); National Standard School and Cultural Unit (2004); and the Prime Minister's Rotating Flag (2003-2004 academic year).

In particular, on the occasion of its 60th anniversary, Thanh Chuong 1 High School was once again honored to receive the Third-Class Labor Medal from the President of Vietnam (for the second time), and was awarded the Certificate of Recognition as a National Standard High School in 2022 by the Provincial People's Committee.

*Building strong provincial and city defense zones.This is a strategic policy of the Party and State; a continuation and development of the national ideology of "preserving the country early, from afar, and before it is in danger" in the new situation, aiming to effectively prevent and handle situations related to national defense and security. The 2022 Nghe An Provincial Regional Defense and Civil Defense Exercise was assessed as having been completed excellently, contributing to building a strong national defense system integrated with a robust people's security posture.

At the recent concluding conference, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy - Head of the Provincial Exercise Steering Committee - affirmed: Through the 2022 exercise, the province gained many valuable experiences and lessons, both theoretically and practically, in leading, directing, operating, and conducting the provincial defense and civil defense exercise. The results of the exercise serve as a basis for further building, consolidating, and strengthening the potential and strategic position in the provincial defense zone, building the armed forces, mobilizing the strength of the entire population; and simultaneously developing and supplementing operational plans and technical infrastructure to be ready to respond to any situations that may arise.

*2022 was the first year of transition to a "new normal" after a long period of impact from the Covid-19 pandemic.Tourism in Nghe An has achieved positive results.This creates new momentum for achieving the next stage of development goals and plans. This is clearly demonstrated in the province's key tourism destinations.

According to Mr. Nguyen Manh Loi, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism, since transitioning to the "new normal," tourism business activities in the province have been vibrant. In the first eight months of 2022, Nghe An welcomed over 5.52 million visitors, with total revenue from tourism estimated at 9,797 billion VND, equivalent to 432% compared to the same period in 2021. The tourism industry is focusing on connecting destinations, accessing new tourist markets, and developing tourism products to continue attracting visitors.

*Implementing the policy onbuilding model gardens for the new rural areas.Farmers in Tan Ky district have replicated many models that have yielded practical results.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Chairman of the Tan Ky District Farmers' Association, said: "During the implementation of the new rural standard garden program, each commune and town has 3-5 households registered to participate. However, based on the targets for each year, the district will select the most beautiful gardens to reward according to provincial regulations."
