Nghe An: Highlights of September 6th

*On the morning of September 6th, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc - Member of the Political Bureau, President of Vietnam, and the delegation visited the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site in Nam Dan (Nghe An province).Laying flowers and incense in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh.Attending the ceremony were Comrade Nguyen Sinh Hung - former member of the Politburo and former Chairman of the National Assembly; Politburo members: Vo Van Thuong - Standing Member of the Secretariat, Tran Thanh Man - Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, and Nguyen Van Nen - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. Also present were Comrade Vu Duc Dam - Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Deputy Prime Minister, along with leaders of central ministries, departments, and agencies, and a number of provinces and cities.

Representing Nghe An province were: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and other members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and leaders of several departments and agencies.

*On the morning of September 6th, a solemn ceremony was held in Hung Thong commune (Hung Nguyen district), Nghe An province.Commemoration of the 120th anniversary of the birth of Comrade General Secretary Le Hong Phong(September 6, 1902 - September 6, 2022). Comrade Le Hong Phong, whose birth name was Le Huy Doan, was a member of the Executive Committee of the Communist International, General Secretary of the Indochinese Communist Party, a staunch communist fighter, a prominent and talented leader of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution, one of President Ho Chi Minh's outstanding disciples, and an exemplary son of Nghe An province.

*Delivering a speech at the commemoration ceremony.On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the birth of General Secretary Le Hong Phong, Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of Nghe An province - reviewed the life, career, and immense contributions of General Secretary Le Hong Phong; the invaluable revolutionary lessons for the current construction and development of the homeland and the country; and called on Party committees, government agencies, mass organizations from the province to the grassroots, every Party member and cadre, and all strata of the people to unite and continue to strive to successfully implement the five key tasks in the coming period.
