Nghe An: Highlights of March 7th

At the meeting, held in a warm, friendly, and meaningful atmosphere to commemorate the 112th anniversary of International Women's Day on March 8th, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, on behalf of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the Party and State leaders, extended warm greetings, heartfelt regards, and wishes for good health, youthfulness, happiness, and success to outstanding female leaders, managers, intellectuals, artists, and women throughout the country.

Thirty outstanding female police officers from Nghe An province, representing over 1,200 female officers and members of the Nghe An Police force, were awarded and honored by the Nghe An Police Department for their excellent achievements in 2021.

*SOn March 7th, the Nghe An Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced: In the 12 hours from 6:00 PM on March 6th, 2022 to 6:00 AM on March 7th, 2022, Nghe An2,882 new positive cases were recorded.with Covid-19.

This includes 720 community cases; 2,162 cases were previously isolated (2,158 cases were F1 contacts, and 4 cases were from provinces with outbreaks).

*SOn March 7th, the General Department of Population and Family Planning collaborated with the United Nations Population Fund.organize a seminar"Controlling gender imbalance at birth based on gender stereotypes."

According to a report by the Provincial Population and Family Planning Department, by the end of December 2021, the gender imbalance at birth in Nghe An was alarming, with a ratio of 116.78 boys per 100 girls.
