Nghe An: Highlights of March 8th

* On the morning of March 8th,Central Steering Committee for National Target ProgramsDuring the period 2021-2025, the 5th online meeting with localities will be held to review the implementation of National Target Programs in 2023 and the first two months of 2024.

According to the report presented at the meeting, the implementation of the National Target Programs for the period 2021-2025 across the country has disbursed an estimated VND 40,187.952 billion of state budget funds in 2023, reaching 61.5%; disbursement of recurrent expenditure funds in 2023 (including budget estimates from previous years carried over to 2023) is estimated at VND 10,804.856 billion, reaching 36.3% of the budget estimate.

Regarding Nghe An province, in 2023, the disbursement of state capital was 987.242/1,301.783 billion VND of the planned target, reaching 76%; in the first two months of 2024, it was 428.678/1,392.395 billion VND of the planned target, reaching 29%.

* On the morning of March 8th,The Provincial People's Committee held a working session with the Provincial Socio-Economic Advisory Team.To discuss specific mechanisms and pilot programs for Nghe An province to implement Resolution No. 39 of the Politburo and the working plan of the Advisory Group in 2024.

During the meeting, members of the Advisory Group contributed their opinions on the issues raised by the provincial leaders. In particular, the Advisory Group members suggested that the province develop specific mechanisms and policies towards stronger decentralization and delegation of power; and proposed special, groundbreaking projects with widespread impact.

In the Provincial Planning document, the members of the Advisory Group emphasized that two important areas that the province needs to implement and complete soon are the planning for the expansion of Vinh City and the planning for the expansion of the Southeast Economic Zone.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung stated that, through discussions, the Advisory Team and the Provincial People's Committee agreed that, given the actual circumstances, it is necessary to select, prioritize, and focus resources on important and key tasks to achieve the set objectives.

Based on the guidance and suggestions from the Provincial Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung emphasized and clarified 5 groups and 9 important work items that require input from the members of the Advisory Team.

* On the morning of March 8th,delegation of the Provincial PoliceLed by Major General Bui Quang Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Director of the Provincial Public Security Department - a delegation laid flowers and offered incense in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh and the late Minister of Public Security Tran Quoc Hoan.

This activity is part of a series of events commemorating the 76th anniversary of the People's Public Security studying and implementing the Six Teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, and the Nghe An Provincial Public Security receiving the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.

At Ho Chi Minh Square and the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site, on behalf of the delegation, Major General Bui Quang Thanh laid a wreath of fresh flowers and offered incense to express profound respect and boundless gratitude for the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh - the national liberation hero, outstanding cultural figure, great leader of the Party and the Vietnamese people, and the beloved father of the armed forces.

On the same day, the delegation visited and laid flowers and offered incense at the Memorial House of Minister Tran Quoc Hoan in Trung Phuc Cuong commune, Nam Dan district. The late Minister Tran Quoc Hoan was an outstanding disciple of President Ho Chi Minh and an excellent leader of the People's Public Security force.

In the future, forest owners will be households, individuals, and local communities.will receive financial support for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.According to Government Decree 107/2022/ND-CP, the People's Committee of Nghe An province has issued an implementation plan and began completing the necessary documentation in February 2024.

* For nearly 15 years, dozens of households in Nam Thanh commune, Nam Dan district, have been facing hardship simply because their land was designated as a special-use forest area.I am unable to harvest the acacia trees I have planted.Even though they had previously been allocated land for production forestry, the current demand from these households is for a plan to convert areas of special-use forest into production forest to create favorable conditions for them.

At 1:00 AM on March 8th, a fire broke out in Na Be village, Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district.The three-room wooden house was completely burned down.of the family of Mr. Moong Van Long and Mrs. Cut Thi Mien.

It is known that at the time, neither Mr. Moong Van Long nor Ms. Cut Thi Mien were at home; by the time they heard the news from the villagers, the fire had already spread widely, and all the property in the house could not be moved in time and was completely destroyed.
