Nghe An: Highlights of April 8th

*On the morning of April 8th, under the chairmanship of Comrade Nguyen Van De, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee,The People's Committee of Nghe An province held a working session with the delegation from the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province.The delegation was led by Comrade Nguyen The Giang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The meeting aimed to discuss plans for developing agricultural and forestry production in the area, particularly experiences in establishing a high-tech forestry zone.

Earlier, the delegation from the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province visited the High-Tech Forestry Application Zone in the North Central region, located in Nghi Loc district.

*At the invitation of the Xieng Khouang Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, a delegation from the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor visited and worked in Laos from April 6-9.

Trade unions from the two provinces exchanged views on friendly cooperation.Regarding the organization and operation of trade unions, solutions were proposed to further promote effective cooperation and strengthen the relationship between the trade unions of Xieng Khouang and Nghe An provinces. This will contribute to enhancing the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

At the request of the Xieng Khouang Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, the Nghe An delegation shared some experiences in trade union activities at the workshop, such as organizing emulation movements among union members and workers; resolving labor disputes and strikes; mobilizing union membership, and collecting trade union funds...

*In implementation of Decision No. 308/QD-TTg dated March 28, 2023 of the Prime Minister, on April 4, 2023, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Document No. 2347/UBND-CNimplement the action planImplement the Foreign Investment Cooperation Strategy for the period 2021-2030 in the area.

According to the document, the People's Committee of Nghe An province assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to coordinate with the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone and relevant agencies to advise the Provincial People's Committee on directing and implementing the assigned tasks in the Action Plan for implementing the Foreign Investment Cooperation Strategy in the province in a timely and effective manner, based on the content of Decision 308/QD-TTg; at the same time, it assigned relevant departments, localities and units to coordinate with the Department of Planning and Investment in the implementation process.

*On the morning of April 8th,215th Tank BrigadeThe Armored Corps held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Brigade's founding (April 10, 1973 - April 10, 2023) and to receive the First Class Order of National Defense.

The 215th Tank Brigade was established during the arduous and fierce final years of the war against the US. Immediately after its formation, the Brigade's two tank battalions quickly moved south to fight; participating in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign and achieving outstanding victories.

During the war to defend the Fatherland on the Southwestern border and in fulfilling international obligations to assist Cambodia, units of the 215th Tank Brigade participated in 34 battles, contributing to the protection of the territorial integrity of the Fatherland and fulfilling international duties.

*Following the directive of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee in Official Letter No. 9369/UBND-CN dated November 25, 2022, regarding the policy to cease operations of the Vinh Market Bus Station in April 2023, on December 5, 2022, the Nghe An Department of Transport issued Decision No. 838/QD-SGTVT on the cessation of operations of the Vinh Market Bus Station and Official Letter No. 4345/SGTVT-VT dated December 19, 2022, concerning...relocating fixed passenger transport routesCurrently operating at Vinh Market Bus Station, the company will operate at bus stations in Vinh City and Hung Nguyen District.

*On the morning of April 8th, leaders from the Department of Education and Training arrived.Visiting and offering condolences to the families of the students who were victims of the accident.in the drowning incident at Nghi Thiet beach, Nghi Loc district.

Earlier, at around 3 PM on April 5th, seven students, having the day off from school, went to Hoang Beach in Nghi Thiet commune to play.

Of these, four students were playing on the shore, while the remaining three went into the sea and were swept away by the strong waves. Their bodies have since been found and buried according to local customs.
