Nghe An revokes licenses for 11 stalled projects.
(Baonghean.vn) - Despite extensions granted by the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, many projects have been implemented at a snail's pace, or even not started construction at all. In 2020 alone, Nghe An revoked 11 projects.
According to a report by the Department of Planning and Investment, from 2012 to 2020, Nghe An province established 8 inspection teams and conducted 588 inspections of 454 projects. To date, 176 projects have been revoked or canceled, covering a total land area of over 50,000 hectares. In 2020 alone, 11 projects were revoked.

Specifically, the 11 projects that were revoked in 2020 are as follows:
1. Commercial housing area, Construction Joint Stock Company 16-Vinaconex, Hung Hoa commune, Vinh City.
2. Mixed-use residential area with commercial center, townhouses and villas by Song Hong Urban Development Investment Joint Stock Company, Nghi Phu commune, Vinh city.
3. Factory producing Japanese green tea and high-quality green tea, Viet Phap Trading and Service Joint Stock Company, Long Son commune, Anh Son district.
4. The activity center of the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia Economic Cooperation Development Association, Nghi Hoa Ward, Cua Lo Town.
5. Construction of the Elderly Care Center, Nghi Hoa Ward, Nghe An Province.Cua Lo town.
6. Business establishment for the distribution of construction materials, Kham Thu Transport and Construction Co., Ltd., Ngoc Son commune, Thanh Chuong district.
7. VINHTEX Project, VINHTEX Company Limited (Royal Pagoda Private Limited, Singapore).
8. Delta Vinh J&We Limited Garment Manufacturing Plant Project.
9. Tung Huong Processing Plant, Tung Huong Processing Joint Stock Company, Nam Cam Industrial Park.
10. Lam Riverfront Ecological Mixed-Use Urban Area Project, Ha Thanh Company Limited, Hung Hoa Commune, Vinh City.
11. Apartment complex, public service and support area, Nghe An Petroleum Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1, Ha Huy Tap Ward, Vinh City.
In the coming period, Nghe An will continue to review and reclaim theproject behind schedule, to clean up the investment environment, in order to attract truly capable investors.

Voters are urging authorities to be more decisive in dealing with stalled projects.

(Baonghean) - The N5 road project in the Southeast Economic Zone started in 2009, but to this day, land compensation and clearance work is still not completed. For more than 11 years, 14 households in Nghi Xa commune (Nghi Loc district) have been living in misery, unwilling to leave but unable to stay either.
