Nghe An: Revoke badges of 4 passenger vans that intentionally brought people from epidemic areas

Faced with the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Nghe An Department of Transport has continuously issued many directives on strengthening control and strictly handling violations in passenger transport activities to prevent and fight the epidemic. In particular, it stipulates the temporary suspension of passenger transport vehicles to and from localities with the epidemic. However, in recent days, a number of localities in Nghe An have discovered manycoachtransporting people from epidemic areas to hide declaration

Specifically, at 2:30 p.m. on July 13, the Traffic Police of Yen Thanh District discovered a passenger bus with license plate 37B - 020.76 of San Hien bus company carrying 20 people from the Covid-19 epidemic areas of Hanoi and Bac Ninh to Yen Thanh District. Of the 20 passengers, 14 people returned from Hanoi and 6 people returned from Bac Ninh. These are two localities where the Covid-19 epidemic is developing complicatedly.

Through inspection, the bus company only had a contract to transport passengers on the Nghe An - Bac Ninh route but no contract in the opposite direction, especially before returning, the above passengers had not completed the medical declaration and testing procedures as recommended by the authorities.

Not stopping there, at around 2 a.m. on July 14, the authorities at Ben Thuy bridge checkpoint continued to discover San Hien passenger bus with license plate 29B - 616.80 carrying 20 passengers from the epidemic area.Ho Chi Minh City to Nghe An area.

Previously, on July 5, 2021Nghe An Department of Transportalso received an official dispatch from the Ha Tinh Department of Transport requesting coordination in inspecting and handling passenger transport vehicles violating regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control. Among them are 2 passenger vans with license plates 38B-014.45 and 38B-012.73 belonging to Huy Hai Transport Cooperative (under the management of Nghe An Department of Transport - PV), operating in transporting passengers from Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong province.

On July 10, 2021, Nghe An Department of Transport continued to receive feedback that vehicle 37B-011.41 belonging to the Western Service and Trade Cooperative transported 29 passengers from Binh Duong.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Head of the Transport Department, Nghe An Department of Transport said: In response to the serious violation of regulations on epidemic prevention and control by means of transport, the Department has assigned the Transport Inspectorate to draw up a record of administrative violations. At the same time, the badges, route approvals, and suspension of vehicle additions for 4 vehicles managed by Nghe An Department of Transport have been revoked. As for the vehicles of San Hien bus company managed by Hanoi Department of Transport, the Department has also issued a document requesting the revocation of the badges.

4 passenger vehicles managed by Nghe An Department of Transport had their badges and route approvals revoked, including:

In addition, it is recommended that the Hanoi Department of Transport revoke the badge for passenger bus BKS-37B-020.76.
