Nghe An: Import and export tax collection increased sharply
(Baonghean.vn) - In the first 6 months of 2017, import tax revenue reached 58%, export tax reached 63% of the budget revenue estimate assigned in 2017; increased sharply and reached 196%; 229% respectively compared to the same period in 2016.
Total budget revenue in the first 6 months of 2017 reached nearly 685 billion VND, equal to 49% of the budget estimate assigned in 2017 (the budget estimate strives to be assigned 1,400 billion VND) and reached 173.37% compared to the same period in 2016.
According to Nghe An Customs Department, from the beginning of the year until now, there have been 153 enterprises participating in customs procedures, including: 07 State-owned enterprises; 135 LLCs, Joint Stock Companies; 11 100% foreign-owned enterprises, down 44 compared to the same period last year (mainly wood import-export enterprises). The total number of import-export declarations in the first 6 months of 2017 was 6,207 sets of declarations.

Main export items: white limestone of all kinds, marble, construction stone, wooden flooring, iron and manganese ore, wood chips, clinker. Import items include: machinery and equipment for investment projects, aluminum rolls of all kinds, feed for dairy cows, cold-rolled steel, plastic granules, electronic components, milk carton paper, vegetable oil, beef, liquefied petroleum gas.
However, environmental protection tax revenue was low at 31%, and special consumption tax reached 46% compared to the budget revenue estimate assigned in 2017.

Mr. Chu Quang Luan - Director of Nghe An Customs Department, said: In 2017, the Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Customs assigned the target of revenue from import-export activities to Nghe An Customs Department of 960 billion VND, the target is to strive to reach 1,400 billion VND; Nghe An Provincial People's Committee assigned the target of revenue from import-export activities of 960 billion VND.
To complete the state budget revenue target, Nghe An Customs Department has made plans, increased contact, support, and promptly resolved difficulties and problems for businesses; promptly and effectively supported businesses in tax payment./.
