Nghe An: Team tasked with investigating chemically treated bamboo shoots receives reward.

(Baonghean.vn) - On April 19th, the Nghe An Provincial Police Department held an awards ceremony to recognize the outstanding achievements of the Environmental Police Department in crime prevention and law enforcement.

The provincial police chief presented awards to the Environmental Police Department.

Recently, the Environmental Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police has achieved exceptionally outstanding results, successfully investigating and solving Case 316T, detecting and arresting two fresh bamboo shoot processing facilities for using chemicals of unknown origin in food processing, and one business selling goods and food additives of unknown origin, seizing 30.25 tons of bamboo shoots and 141.5 kg of chemicals and additives of unknown origin.

In addition, the Department successfully cracked case 416DT, arresting one suspect involved in smuggling and seizing 300 foreign-made iPhone 6 mobile phones; and case 281N, arresting one suspect involved in the illegal possession and transportation of explosives, seizing 25kg of explosives, 10 detonators, and 1 meter of slow-burning fuse.

For these outstanding achievements, the People's Committee of Nghe An province awarded the Environmental Police Department an extraordinary bonus of 30 million VND; the Provincial Police Department awarded 2 million VND.
