Nghe An organizes the National Day for Protecting National Security.

Attending and sharing in the festivities were, from the Central Committee, Comrade Nguyen Huu Dung - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; and leaders of functional units of the Ministry of Public Security.

Delegates from Nghe An province included Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 138; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Major General Bui Quang Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police; and representatives from the leadership of provincial departments, agencies, and Nghi Loc district.

Over the years, the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee, along with the Steering Committee for Crime Prevention, Social Evils Control, and the National Movement for Protecting National Security, have consistently focused on leading and directing the development of the movement with diverse, effective, and practical content and forms, tailored to local realities. Nghe An is a leading province nationwide in terms of models and exemplary practices in the national movement for protecting national security, with many models being commended and replicated nationwide by the Ministry of Public Security.

For Nghi Hung commune in particular, and Nghi Loc district in general, the work of building, expanding, and maintaining the movement of the entire population protecting national security has been carried out synchronously and widely; the activities of advanced models and exemplary cases in the movement of the entire population protecting national security have received special attention and been implemented effectively.

In Nghi Hung commune, many models have become shining examples, praised and replicated by all levels, such as: the "People's Patrol Team" model in all 6 hamlets; the "Security Camera" model with more than 30 cameras... In addition, the Steering Committee and self-governing groups on security and order have been established and effectively maintained with more than 1,500 members in the villages and hamlets, creating a "closed network" that contributes to maintaining peace and security in every village and hamlet.

With outstanding results and achievements in ensuring security and order and building the nationwide movement to protect national security, in the first 8 months of 2024, the officials and people of Nghi Hung commune were honored to receive a Certificate of Commendation from the Minister of Public Security, a Certificate of Commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and 6 collectives and individuals were commended by the Director of the Provincial Police, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, and the Chairman of the District People's Committee.

Speaking at the event, Comrade Nguyen Huu Dung - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the results that Nghi Hung commune has achieved in building and implementing the movement of all people protecting national security. These results demonstrate the high determination and the joint efforts of the local Party committee, government and people.

Building on the achievements made, and based on forecasts of the future security situation with many unpredictable developments, the requirement is to focus on building a solid grassroots security system. Comrade Nguyen Huu Dung and Comrade Le Hong Vinh delivered speeches assigning tasks to Nghi Hung commune in particular and Nghi Loc district in general.

Specifically, the study proposes solutions to launch and build a nationwide movement to protect national security in cyberspace, gradually forming a people's security posture in cyberspace. It applies population data, identity cards, and electronic identification in implementing mass mobilization measures to meet the requirements and tasks of ensuring security and order in the new situation regarding the reception and processing of crime reports and denunciations. Attention is paid to innovating the content, form, and methods of building the movement, linking it with effective mass mobilization work, replicating advanced models and best practices throughout the province; and focusing on building a strong political system.

In addition, Party committees and authorities continue to pay attention to and effectively promote the role of self-governing groups in maintaining security and order; effectively implement ethnic and religious policies, and ensure social welfare for the people…

On this occasion, the Ministry of Public Security, the People's Committee of Nghe An province, and the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province awarded Certificates of Merit; the Nghe An Provincial Police, the People's Committee of Nghi Loc district, and the People's Committee of Nghi Hung commune awarded Certificates of Commendation to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in building the movement of all people protecting national security in the locality.

At the event, the Party Committee, government, and people of Nghi Hung commune were presented with the national flag, and delegates from Nghe An province and Nghi Loc district also presented gifts to disadvantaged families in the area.
