Nghe An: Honoring 25 skilled young craftsmen.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 12th, the Provincial Youth Union, in coordination with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and Vinh University of Technology Education, organized the closing ceremony and awards presentation for the "Skilled Craftsman Competition for Young People in Nghe An Province".

Attending the closing ceremony were Comrade Pham Tuan Vinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, along with representatives from the Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; and Vinh University of Technology and Education.

The Nghe An Provincial Youth Skilled Workers Competition is an activity organized every two years to promote the pioneering and creative role of young workers and laborers in the cause of accelerating industrialization and modernization of the homeland and the country.

This serves to motivate and encourage young workers, students, and university students to actively study, hone their skills, and adopt new work styles to become skilled craftsmen.

Based on the guidelines of the Organizing Committee of the competition, the participating units conducted preliminary selections at the grassroots level to choose the most outstanding contestants to participate in the provincial-level competition.

The competition was lively and serious, with high determination from the 47 contestants selected from 15 units.After two days of dedicated work, the Organizing Committee awarded two first prizes: one for the welding skills competition to Hoang Van Duc from the Vietnam-Korea College of Technology; and one for the electrical skills competition to Thai Ba Loc from Vinh University of Technology and Education.

The organizing committee also awarded 4 second prizes, 7 third prizes, and 12 consolation prizes for the Electrical and Welding trades. Vinh University of Technology and Education won first prize overall.
