Nghe An Province awards 87 prizes in the 2024 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest.

On the morning of December 1st, the Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports held the closing ceremony and awards presentation for the 6th Nghe An Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2024.

Attending the ceremony were: Mr. Thai Van Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training; Ms. Tran Thi My Hanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports; Mr. Tran Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and units, along with a large number of students.

CompetitionAmbassador of Reading CultureThe competition in Nghe An province in 2024 is one of the activities implementing the "Development of Reading Culture in the Community until 2020, with a vision to 2030" project approved by the Prime Minister. The competition was enthusiastically received by students, contributing to spreading the love of reading, fostering imagination and creativity, and is suitable for different age groups and target audiences.

The competition attracted 146,080 entries in the district-level preliminary round, with 2,067 entries selected for the provincial-level preliminary round, and 7 winning entries going on to the provincial-level competition.Final roundnationwide.

Most entries in both written and video formats met the competition requirements and rules well. The books featured were familiar and relatable, many were newly published, and the proportion of Vietnamese books was high. Many inspiring figures were national heroes, cultural figures, and historical figures of the country.

There were many creative, beautifully presented articles with engaging and captivating content; many video entries were meticulously produced, well-invested, included English subtitles, subtitles for the hearing impaired, featured expressive introductions, natural storytelling, and demonstrated awareness of copyright usage of materials and images.

The initiatives to develop a reading culture are age-appropriate for the children, and some practical and feasible initiatives have been successfully and effectively implemented by them. The quality of the entries not only reflects the talent and effort of the children but also the care and cooperation of their families and schools.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 3 collectives and 84 individuals who won awards at the Nghe An Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2024. The first prize for collectives was awarded to the Vinh City Department of Education and Training; the second prize for collectives was awarded to the Dien Chau District Department of Education and Training and Thanh Chuong 1 High School.

Regarding individual awards, the Organizing Committee awarded 3 First Prizes to: Dang Gia Han - Class 3A, Hung Dung 2 Primary School (Vinh City); Nguyen Huu Minh Quang - Class 7A, Ton Quang Phiệt Secondary School (Thanh Chuong); and Ngo Huyen Trang - Class 11D1, Ha Huy Tap High School (Vinh City). Additionally, 6 Second Prizes, 9 Third Prizes, 16 Consolation Prizes, and 50 Special Prizes were awarded.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit and prizes from the Provincial People's Committee to 5 students who achieved high results in the 2024 National Cultural Ambassador Competition.
