Nghe An Province awards prizes to workers who follow President Ho Chi Minh's teachings.

Attending the program were comrades Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Van De - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of provincial departments and agencies; and the commended collectives and individuals.

Before the program began, delegates visited the Kim Lien Historical Site - a special national historical site - to lay flowers and offer incense in commemoration, expressing their profound respect and boundless gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh - the national liberation hero, world cultural figure, and the founder and architect of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Throughout his life, President Ho Chi Minh always held deep affection and special trust in the working class and the trade union organization. He once advised: "Labor is glorious," and "Competition is patriotism, and patriotism requires competition."

Bearing in mind President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, over the years, the trade unions at all levels in Nghe An province have continuously innovated the content and methods of their activities; promoted patriotic emulation movements, excellent labor, and creative labor; widely disseminated the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style among union members, workers, and employees in the province; and linked the study and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh with the performance of professional duties, with each job position, each initiative, and each specific action of union members and workers.

In particular, implementing Conclusion No. 01, dated May 18, 2021, of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05 of the Politburo, in recent years, the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style among workers, civil servants, and laborers in Nghe An province has become increasingly in-depth, practical, and effective.

Many good models and innovative approaches have been effectively implemented; numerous valuable projects, products, and initiatives have brought significant benefits to businesses and society; the sense of responsibility, dedication to serving the people, and scientific and diligent work style of union members, workers, and employees have been increasingly enhanced. From this movement, more and more exemplary individuals, humble yet noble, have emerged.

These are the workers who constantly seek out innovative technical improvements, bringing tens of billions of dong in benefits to the enterprise; the trade union officials who are dedicated to the workers; and the united, innovative, and creative teams that build a humane and progressive working environment...

It can be affirmed that learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh's example is no longer just a set of general slogans, but has become a conscious action and a regular practice in the lives and work of a large number of union members and workers in the province.

In order to innovate and improve the quality of the patriotic emulation movement, and to regularly commend, honor, and acknowledge the contributions of direct laborers, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Union has issued regulations for the "Nghe An Workers Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" Award, with a strict and demanding selection criteria. The award will be presented every two years on May 19th, Uncle Ho's birthday.

This year marks the first time the Provincial Labor Union has organized this meaningful award ceremony. After an objective, serious, responsible, and compliant selection process, eight outstanding workers were chosen by the Award Council. These are the most exemplary individuals among more than 100,000 direct laborers in enterprises throughout the province at present.

Besides the 8 workers who received the "Nghe An Workers Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" Award, the program also commended and rewarded 7 exemplary collectives and 10 exemplary individuals for their advanced achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style during the 2023-2025 period. This affirms that in any field or profession, there are ordinary collectives and individuals who are silently contributing to enhancing the image of Nghe An union members and workers following Uncle Ho's teachings.

Through this activity, the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor hopes to further spread the patriotic emulation movement among union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers; to awaken the aspiration for dedication and creativity, contributing to the development of Nghe An province.
