Nghe An: Awarding the project to destroy a 'huge' drug ring

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 29, comrade Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and comrade Nguyen Huu Cau - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of Nghe An Provincial Police, together with representatives of Tuong Duong district leaders, presented unexpected rewards to officers and soldiers of Tuong Duong district police, who successfully broke up special cases 117M and 217M, illegally transporting large quantities of drugs.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Quang Huy and Director of the Provincial Police Nguyen Huu Cau awarded the members of the Special Investigation Committee.

Previously, Tuong Duong District Police arrested 3 subjects transporting and trading a large quantity of drugs, including 2 heroin cakes weighing 734 grams, 6,000 synthetic drug pills and 11 grams of heroin.

Also in this project, Tuong Duong District Police chased away 4 groups and 9 individuals who were illegally trading drugs in the area, destroyed many tents and camps, and seized 3 homemade mines, 10 homemade guns, and 10 knives and swords of various types.

At the award ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Huu Cau - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding achievements of the Special Task Force and the Tuong Duong District Police. At the same time, he directed that from now until the Lunar New Year, the fight against all types of crimes will continue to be promoted, ensuring peace for the people.
