Nghe An: Over 2.4 billion VND provided to support victims of Agent Orange.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 15th, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Nghe An province held a conference to review the work of the first six months of the year and implement tasks for the last six months of 2022.
In the first six months of 2022, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin successfully carried out its mission of caring for, assisting, and distributing 6,328 gifts to victims of Agent Orange/dioxin throughout the province.

In particular, the Association has mobilized organizations, businesses, philanthropists, and people inside and outside the province to support and assist 4 victims in extremely difficult circumstances with housing, provide production capital for 6 families, and provide medical examination and treatment for over 200 victims, with a total amount exceeding 2.4 billion VND.

In implementing its tasks in the coming period, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin will continue to coordinate with departments, agencies, and localities to regularly do a good job of caring for and assisting victims, contributing to promoting the development of the association at all levels. In coordination with the Central Association and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, it will build 17 houses of compassion and distribute 600 gifts...
At the same time, we will continue to diversify the forms of propaganda and mobilize philanthropists, businesses, individuals, and organizations to sponsor and support activities to create a fund to help and create conditions for victims of Agent Orange to overcome difficulties, rise up in life, and integrate into the community.

In particular, from June 2021 to the present, the entire province has raised 3.5 billion VND to build the "Agent Orange Victims Fund".
