Nghe An province is issuing citizen identification cards even during the September 2nd holiday.
(Baonghean.vn) - During the four-day National Day holiday on September 2nd (from Thursday to Sunday), the Administrative Police Department for Social Order of the Police in 21 districts, cities, and towns will still be accepting applications for citizen identification cards.
To successfully complete the contents of the "Project for the development of data applications on population, identification and electronic authentication to serve the national digital transformation in the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030", the Nghe An Provincial Police Department has advised the Provincial People's Committee on many innovative solutions and approaches, achieving outstanding results according to the set roadmap. Accordingly, the provincial police leadership has directed and assigned specific responsibilities to the leaders of police units and localities, the commanders of the Administrative Police Team for Social Order, the heads of commune-level police, and other relevant individuals in carrying out the task. At the same time, they have mobilized maximum equipment and personnel, and implemented comprehensive and decisive solutions.
Regarding the time for receiving citizen identification cards, the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order, and the Police Departments of 21 districts, cities, and towns conduct the card collection process from 6:30 AM to midnight daily. If citizens remain at the collection point after midnight, the units will still proceed with the card collection. The card collection is conducted continuously from Monday to Sunday every week. Simultaneously, mobile teams are deployed to the grassroots level, visiting the homes of the elderly, the infirm, and the sick to collect citizen identification card applications.

Also on this occasion, to ensure the timely issuance of citizen identification cards to prisoners granted amnesty or released on September 2nd, the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order of the Provincial Police sent working groups directly to Prison No. 3 (Tan Ky district), Prison No. 6 (Thanh Chuong district) and the Detention Center (Nghi Kim commune, Vinh City) to collect data and citizen identification card files.
All individuals whose applications have been accepted will be issued citizen identification cards on the same day as the early release amnesty procedures on the occasion of National Day, September 2nd. This ensures they regain their citizenship rights, are legally recognized with a chip-embedded citizen identification card, and can use it conveniently for transactions during their reintegration into the community and stabilization of their lives.

According to Colonel Luong The Loc, Head of the Administrative Police Department for Social Order of the Provincial Police: After December 31, 2022, household registration books will no longer be valid. Therefore, only the electronic chip-embedded citizen identity card, which integrates relevant information, will be the document for citizens to handle administrative procedures. Therefore, eligible citizens should take advantage of the time to visit the commune, ward, town, or district police headquarters to complete the procedures for obtaining an electronic chip-embedded citizen identity card to ensure their rights are protected. The operating hours are from 6:30 AM to midnight daily (before September 30, 2022).
In particular, during the four-day National Day holiday on September 2nd, the Administrative Police Department for Social Order in the police forces of 21 districts, cities, and towns continued to accept applications for citizen identification cards. This was done to facilitate the process for citizens who had not yet applied for a citizen identification card, especially those working far from home, and students returning for the holiday.
