(Baonghean.vn) - In keeping with the nationwide atmosphere, students in localities throughout Nghe An province are excited about the opening ceremony of the new school year.
*Today, in the mountainous border districtQue PhongThirteen delegations of provincial and district leaders attended the opening ceremony with the staff, teachers, and students of the schools.

In the 2022-2023 school year, Que Phong district had 13 preschools in 13 communes with 39 daycare groups and 778 children; and 132 kindergarten classes with 3,387 children. Primary education included 16 schools and 4 combined primary and lower secondary schools with 342 classes and 7,464 students. Lower secondary education included 14 schools (4 combined primary and lower secondary schools, 1 boarding school for ethnic minorities, and 2 semi-boarding schools for ethnic minorities) with 151 classes and 5,334 students. Upper secondary education had 43 classes and 1,869 students. Continuing education included 4 classes and 140 trainees.
Attending the opening ceremony at Que Phong Ethnic Boarding Secondary School, Comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - presented gifts to 27 underprivileged students who excelled in their studies, with each gift valued at 500,000 VND.

This year's opening ceremony was organized in a streamlined manner, consisting of two parts: the formal ceremony and the celebratory activities. The formal ceremony was brief but solemn, including rituals such as flag raising, singing the national anthem, reading the President's letter, and presenting gifts to underprivileged students who have overcome difficulties. The celebratory part featured wholesome and memorable group activities.
Reportedly, in the 2022-2023 school year, Tuong Duong district will welcome nearly 500 children into preschool, 1,432 into grade 1, and 1,408 into grade 6.

Thanks to continuous efforts, the Education sector of Quynh Luu district achieved many outstanding results in the past school year. Throughout the district, 100% of children attended preschool education programs appropriate for their age; 100% of students in grades 3, 4, and 5 studied the 10-year English program. At the high school level, there were 97 students who excelled at the provincial level, and 76.5% of students achieved good or excellent academic performance.

This school year, Quy Hop district strives to stabilize its school network with 67 schools, 1 vocational training and continuing education center, and 1 independent preschool group. This includes 24 kindergartens, 23 primary schools, 12 secondary schools, 4 ethnic minority boarding secondary schools, 1 ethnic minority boarding secondary school, 3 high schools, and 1 vocational training and continuing education center.

On this occasion, Quy Hop district divided its leaders into four delegations to attend the opening ceremonies at schools throughout the district, aiming to encourage and motivate teachers and students to continue striving to maintain the learning momentum and achieve even higher results in this school year.
At the same time as the new school year begins, thousands of gifts and bicycles have been donated by philanthropists and sponsors to help children get to school.

On this occasion, Do Luong district also presented 221 gifts to students from impoverished families, totaling 228 million VND. The People's Committees of the communes and various organizations and associations also donated gifts to poor and disadvantaged students. Some schools even donated bicycles to disadvantaged students to help them excel in their studies.

In the 2021-2022 school year, the entire district had 263 outstanding students at the district level and 34 outstanding students at the provincial level; 17 products won awards in the district-level Science and Technology Competition and 5 products won awards at the provincial level. Three teachers and three students won medals in the National Chemistry Olympiad; including one Gold Medal.
On this occasion, Nghia Dan district and various organizations and associations also presented hundreds of gifts under the "Continuing the Journey to School" program to underprivileged students to encourage them in the new school year.
