Nghe An responds to severe cold weather, frost, and strong winds at sea.
According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, from the night of March 5th, the weather in Northern Vietnam and North Central Vietnam will turn cold, with temperatures in North Central Vietnam generally ranging from 14-17 degrees Celsius.
From the morning of March 6th, in the northern East Sea area (including the waters around the Hoang Sa archipelago) and the sea area from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa, strong northeasterly winds of force 6-7, gusting to force 8-9, will cause rough seas with waves 2.0-5.0m high.
In accordance with the directive from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment regarding proactive response to severe cold weather, frost damage, and strong winds at sea.
To proactively respond to severe cold weather, frost, and strong winds at sea, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue, and Civil Defense requests the Steering Committees for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue, and Civil Defense of districts, cities, and towns; and relevant agencies and units to implement the following:
For cold weather:
Closely monitor warning and forecast bulletins regarding the development of cold air masses and promptly inform local authorities and the public so that appropriate preventive measures can be taken proactively.
Implement measures to respond to the cold weather. Disseminate information and guide livestock farmers to reinforce barns, provide insulation to keep animals warm, and stockpile feed; prevent and control diseases in livestock and poultry; and provide guidance on measures to ensure the safety of rice, vegetable, and other crop production.
For strong winds at sea (coastal districts and towns):
Closely monitor warning bulletins, forecasts, and developments of strong winds at sea; inform captains and owners of vessels operating at sea to proactively take preventive measures and plan accordingly, ensuring the safety of people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle any adverse situations that may occur.
At the same time, maintain a strict duty roster and regularly report to the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue, and Civil Defense.
