(Baonghean.vn) - In just a few days, a household's herd of 11 goats died unexpectedly after foraging in a cemetery.

On May 16, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Son Commune (Do Luong), said that the authorities are investigating the cause of the unusual death of a herd of goats belonging to a household while grazing in the area.

Earlier, on the morning of May 15, as usual, Ms. Hoang Thi Thu (residing in Yen Son commune) let her family’s herd of 17 goats out to find food near the farm. The goats then went to graze in the nearby Van Son Commune Cemetery. However, only about half an hour later, Ms. Thu was shocked to see 9 goats suddenly die.

Suspecting that she had been baited, Ms. Thu's family immediately reported the incident to the authorities. At noon the same day, Van Son Commune Police arrived at the scene to record the incident and investigate the cause. The case was then transferred to Do Luong District Police because it was beyond the investigation capacity of the commune police.
According to the family, these 9 goats are worth nearly 50 million VND. Two days earlier, 2 goats belonging to Mrs. Thu's family that went into this area to forage also died unexpectedly.
This cemetery is managed by the People's Committee of Van Son commune, and a local resident has used the land on both sides of the road to plant acacia trees. According to Ms. Thu, the acacia trees were newly planted, so her family had no intention of letting the goats in, but some of them climbed into the cemetery to look for food and died unexpectedly.
