Accordingly, the specific goal for 2022 is to build5 model points for productionProcessing agricultural products and ensuring food safety, including:1 model of safe vegetable cultivation using sprinkler irrigation technology in Thanh Chuong district; 2 models of intensive cultivation of pomelo intercropped with guava according to VietGAP standards in Thanh Chuong and Do Luong districts; 2 models of fish sauce processing ensuring environmental hygiene in Nghi Loc and Dien Chau districts.

At the same time, five stores will be established in the districts to display, introduce, and sell safe agricultural products and food.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Quang Tung - Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association emphasized: Over the past two years of implementing the project, farmers' associations at all levels throughout the province have carried out many practical activities to disseminate information and encourage members to comply with legal regulations on food safety; organize training courses on knowledge, and build models to guide farmers in producing and trading safe agricultural products and food.

Many products from association members and farmers have been certified for food safety, meeting VietGAP and GLOBGAP standards; hundreds of products have been awarded 3-star and 4-star OCOP product certifications. Many agricultural products are selling better and generating higher profits thanks to ensuring food safety procedures in production and processing.

However, awareness of food safety among a significant portion of producers, businesses, and consumers remains limited, and the misuse of pesticides, banned substances, and stimulants of unknown origin are still prevalent.

Therefore, the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Farmers' Association launched the campaign "Nghe An Farmers Producing, Trading and Consuming Safe Agricultural Products and Food" to promote propaganda and raise awareness among farmer members to comply with legal regulations on the use of plant varieties, animal breeds, fertilizers, animal feed, pesticides, veterinary drugs, growth stimulants, weight gain substances, food preservatives and other substances related to food safety.

At the launching ceremony, the organizing committee presented gifts from Nghe An Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Company and Dabaco Central Vietnam Company to disadvantaged families in Hung Thanh commune (Hung Nguyen district).
