Nghe An has eliminated more than 96% of temporary and dilapidated houses, with 3 districts and towns reaching the finish line.

By June 20, 2025, Nghe An had completed support for the construction and repair of 20,067 houses, reaching 96.06% of the total demand (20,891 houses). Hoang Mai town and Quy Hop and Do Luong districts have completed the entire program.

On the morning of June 22, Comrade Pham Minh Chinh - Politburo member, Prime Minister chaired the meeting of the Central Steering Committee on the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide (5th time), the State Steering Committee for important national works and projects, key to the Transport sector (18th time); promoting the disbursement of public investment capital in 2025 (2nd time).

Also attending were Comrade Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Deputy Prime Ministers, leaders of ministries, branches, central agencies who are members of the Steering Committee, leaders of provinces and centrally run cities.

The meeting was held directly at the Government Headquarters, online with the bridgeheads of provinces and centrally run cities.

At the Nghe An province bridge, comrades: Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for mobilizing and supporting the construction and repair of houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties in the province (Steering Committee 1838); Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee co-chaired.

Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Phu Hien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Steering Committee.

Regarding the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, as of June 20, 2025, Nghe An has completed supporting the construction and repair of 20,067 houses, reaching 96.06% of the total demand (20,891 houses).

Of which, support from the Temporary and Dilapidated House Elimination Program (socialized source) reached 10,476/10,685 houses, reaching 98.04%; support from 2 National Target Programs reached 6,776/6,950 houses, reaching 97.5%; the Program for people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs reached 2,815/3,256 houses, reaching 86.46%. Hoang Mai town and Quy Hop and Do Luong districts have completed the entire program.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Steering Committee 1838 of Nghe An province have agreed on the completion date of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province before July 31, 2025.

According to the report of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, up to now, 38/63 provinces and cities nationwide have completed the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses. Based on the registration plan of localities, it is expected that by June 30, this number will increase to 40/63 provinces and cities.

It is expected that by August 25 this year, all localities will complete the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide.
