Nghe An province takes action against 6 establishments for violating food hygiene and safety regulations.
The inter-agency inspection team of Nghe An province conducted food safety and hygiene inspections at food production, business, and processing facilities in the area, and found 6 establishments in violation.
In accordance with Decision No. 934/QD-UBND of the People's Committee of Nghe An province on inspecting compliance with legal regulations on food safety during the "Month of Action for Food Safety 2024", the inter-agency inspection team (including the Department of Health, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Economic Police Department - Provincial Police, and various sub-departments) conducted food safety and hygiene inspections at food production and processing facilities, restaurants, and eateries in the area.
Accordingly, from April 16th to May 15th, 2024, the inspection team checked 23 establishments, including 3 food production facilities; 8 food trading establishments; and 12 food service establishments, including 1 collective kitchen and 11 restaurants and hotel restaurants.
The inspection results showed that 17 establishments met quality standards, while 6 establishments violated food hygiene and safety regulations. The inspection team issued administrative violation reports against the 6 violating establishments and forwarded the files to the relevant authorities requesting the issuance of administrative penalty decisions in accordance with their jurisdiction, totaling 46.5 million VND.
The list of violating establishments includes:
1.Huong Nguyen Food Service Household (Ta Van Quan Restaurant); address: 295 Vo Nguyen Hien Street, Truong Thi Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An Province.
This establishment violated the regulation on "Failure to comply with legal requirements regarding food sample retention," resulting in a fine of 4 million VND.
2.Food service business: HAOCHI DIMSUM Restaurant, owned by Doan Xuan Duc; located on the 3rd floor of Vinh Centre building, 69 Ho Tung Mau Street, Truong Thi Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An Province.
This establishment violated the regulation "Operating a food service business without a food safety certificate," resulting in a fine of 12.5 million VND.
3.Trống Đồng Food Service Business; address: 28 Le Loi Street, Hung Binh Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An Province.
This establishment violated the regulation by "not having sufficient separate storage equipment for raw and processed foods," resulting in a fine of 6 million VND.
4.Hoang Vu Food Business Household; address: 107 Le Hoan Street, Vinh City, Nghe An Province.
This establishment violated the law regarding "Conditions for ensuring food safety in food storage," and was fined 2 million VND.
5.Thanh Phuc Clean Food Production Facility; address: Hamlet 20 (land plot number 531, map sheet number 31), Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City, Nghe An Province.
This establishment violated regulations by "employing personnel who handle food directly without adequate personal protective equipment; and failing to separate the production area from sources of pollution," resulting in a fine of 14.5 million VND.
6.Pham Dinh Huong Food Business Household; address: 134 Ngo Duc Ke Street, Hong Son Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An Province.
This establishment violated the regulation "Operating at a location different from that stated in the business license," resulting in a fine of 7.5 million VND.
