Nghe An: 7 food and beverage establishments were fined
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the report of the Provincial Interdisciplinary Steering Committee on Food Safety, from July 13 to August 15, 2016, the specialized team of the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene inspected 22 food service establishments in the province.

As a result, the inspection team fined 7 establishments, with a total fine of 10,200,000 VND. In addition, the authorities announced compliance with food safety regulations for 17 products including shrimp paste, confectionery, ice cream, ham, rice; and organized the confirmation of food safety knowledge for 101 people who are owners of establishments and people directly involved in food production, processing and trading at production and trading establishments in the province.
During the period from July to August 2016, the Food Safety and Hygiene Department also recorded 1 case of food poisoning in Nam Can (Ky Son) causing 1 death, caused by eating poisonous mushrooms.
