Nghe An: Seven food and beverage establishments fined.

(Baonghean.vn) - According to a report by the Provincial Inter-agency Steering Committee on Food Safety, from July 13th to August 15th, 2016, the specialized team of the Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Department conducted inspections of 22 food service establishments in the province.

The inspection team issued fines to 7 establishments, totaling 10,200,000 VND. In addition, authorities declared 17 products compliant with food safety regulations, including shrimp paste, confectionery, ice cream, sausages, and rice; and conducted food safety knowledge certification for 101 business owners and those directly involved in the production, processing, and trading of food products in the province.

During the period of July-August 2016, the Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Department also recorded one case of food poisoning in Nam Can (Ky Son) resulting in one death, caused by eating poisonous mushrooms.
