The Canard newspaper said that since the beginning of 2012 until now, the exact amount that the personal barber for the French head of state has received is 9,895 euros per month.

According to the revealed contract, the barber will take care of Mr. Hollande's hair for 5 years.

It is worth mentioning here that Mr. Hollande's monthly allowance is only 5,000 euros.

This allowance comes with housing allowances and some other family-related expenses.

The Canard newspaper said the labor contract to cut hair for the French President was signed by Mr. Sylvie Hubac, former Director of Mr. Hollande's Cabinet Office.

It is understood that the newspaper once published an article on the Cabinet Office's pay system based on reports in the Elysée Off.

To explain the high salary paid to the President's personal barber, lawyer Sarah Levy said it was an important job.

The female lawyer defended: “The barber must always be available 24/7 for the President, he is never allowed to work outside. This person also rarely has time for his children, illness or other activities…”.

According to a source from the Elysée Palace, the President's barber has to get up early to work during the day with high intensity. His daily job is to cut the President's hair every morning and also when necessary, such as when appearing in public, regardless of holidays.
