Village chief Tran Xuan Quang said that in the village, there are some people who go to construction sites to collect scrap plastic ropes after construction workers open brick boxes. People collect them and supply them to households in the village to produce brooms. The way to make these plastic rope brooms is similar to making bamboo brooms, but plastic rope brooms last longer, so they are more expensive and more popular in the market. Mr. Tran Xuan Quang said: Each craftsman makes more than 20 brooms per day. The import price for bamboo brooms is 12,000 VND/piece, plastic wire brooms is 22,000 VND/piece.
