Artist Han Van Tinh passed away at the age of 59

Chu Van Quynh of the movie "Land and People" passed away at noon on September 4 at his home in Hanoi.

Actress Tra My - a close colleague of artist Han Van Tinh - said he breathed his last at his home at around 11:20 am. A few hours earlier, he was taken home from the hospital by his family.

Artist Han Van Tinh was admitted to the emergency room on the evening of September 1st in a deep coma, as lung cancer had metastasized to his brain. He has been receiving oxygen and cardiac medication to sustain his life since that day. During the emergency, there were times when the artist's condition was reported to be stable, causing his family, friends, and fans to continue praying for a miracle.

Artist Han Van Tinh was diagnosed with lung cancer a year and a half ago. He underwent treatment and overcame the disease, continued to perform, but became ill again after Tet 2016. Since the beginning of the year, the artist has undergone two rounds of radiation therapy because the tumor has spread to his armpit and brain.

In June, he was also hospitalized in a critical condition that was thought to be difficult to overcome. After that, he returned home and his health showed signs of recovery. He even walked around the house, chatted happily and gained weight. The artist is also looking forward to returning to act in comedy films this Tet season.

Artist Han Van Tinh was born in 1957 in Phu Tho. He is the head of Art Group 2 of the Vietnam Tuong Theater. He has won many Silver medals for the plays Black Sunset, Scream in the Royal Palace, Defeated Martial Artist O Giang, Tran Hung Dao, Bach Tinh... In 1999, he was awarded the medal "For the cause of Vietnamese theater" by the Theater Artists Association.

He is also famous for his roles as Chu Van Quynh in the film Land and People, So in Storm Over the Village, Troc in Canh Bac, Tuan in Nguoi Blow the Tu and Hang Tong...
