The controversy between the two songs "Vet mua" (Vu Cat Tuong) and "Rain In The Park" (Marika Takeuchi) has finally come to an end.

Recently, Vu Cat Tuong's side provided the domestic media with the working email between her and Marika Takeuchi regarding this scandal. Specifically, Vu Cat Tuong's representative contacted and sent Marika Takeuchi emails proving that the coach of "The Voice Kids" sent the demo of "Vet Mua" to the composer Trong Nguyen on June 18, 2013, which means before June 26, 2013, when Marika Takeuchi released "Rain In The Park".

In response to Vu Cat Tuong's evidence, Marika Takeuchi replied by email with the following content: "I have found a software that helps display the mp3 file that was indeed created on June 18, 2013, as you said. So it must be a coincidence that we wrote similar melodies at around the same time. Thank you for quickly resolving the matter. I wish you all the best in music and good luck in handling the incidents that are happening in Vietnam today."

The content of the email exchange between Vu Cat Tuong and Marika Takeuchi was made public by the female singer.

Vu Cat Tuong proactively contacted Marika Takeuchi via Facebook to work.

Previously, in an exchange with us, Marika Takeuchi said that she is currently working with a lawyer on this issue, however, the Japanese pianist refused to disclose the content of their exchange. "The first time I heard her song, I found it quite similar to mine but thought it was probably just a coincidence. I only started to be skeptical when I saw a YouTube video mashup of our two songs for comparison. I am still in the process of researching and discussing with my lawyer." - Marika Takeuchi shared.

In response to the question about Vu Cat Tuong saying that she had evidence of sending "Vet mua" to the composer on June 18, 2013 (while "Rain In The Park" was released on June 26), Marika Takeuchi shared that if that was true, this would be a special coincidence as the two songs are so similar (in melody, chord progression, intro, rhythm...).

The Japanese artist also said that taking inspiration from other artists is normal, and she often does the same. If Vu Cat Tuong was inspired by "Rain In The Park" to write "Vet mua", there would be nothing to discuss, but the problem lies in the similarity between the two songs.
