On the afternoon of August 10, Mr. Bui Trong Long - Chairman of Ma Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, said that at around 1:30 a.m. the same day, he received a report from local residents about two young men (around 25-30 years old) suspected of stealing dogs in the An Market area of ​​Ma Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District. The local police quickly arrived to rescue the two young men who were surrounded and beaten by local residents and had their motorbikes burned.

The two victims (identities unknown) were rescued by the police, then taken to the commune health station for emergency treatment and transferred to the district hospital, where they survived the critical condition.
