Suspect arrested for illegally smuggling people abroad.
Nguyen Minh Cam (55 years old) agreed to bring Vietnamese workers to Germany on tourist visas for a fee of 1,000 USD per person.
On November 18th, Mr. Cam was charged, arrested, and his house in Tran Phu ward (Ha Tinh City) was searched by the Ha Tinh Police on charges of...Organizing or facilitating the illegal emigration of others to foreign countries.According to Article 349 of the 2015 Penal Code.

According to the investigation, having previously worked in Germany, in 2019 Mr. Cam admitted to illegally bringing people to Germany to work by obtaining tourist visas to enter Azerbaijan, then traveling to another European country before entering Germany.
According to authorities, Mr. Cam had not yet brought any laborers to Germany. Several people were discovered and deported by local authorities upon arriving in Azerbaijan. Following complaints from the victims, Mr. Cam was arrested.
