The suspect who used a knife to injure two people has been arrested in his hometown.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 29, Major Nguyen Trong Tue - Head of Nghi Loc District Police - confirmed that the police had arrested Tran Hai Phi (born in 1995), a suspect in the murder of one person and serious injury to another on the evening of April 28.

On the evening of April 28th, at the rented room of Mr. Mai Van Bac (in Hamlet 11, Nghi Xa Commune, Nghi Loc District), Tran Hai Phi (born in 1995, residing in Nam Thuong Commune, Nam Dan District), Le Anh Tu (born in 1998, residing in Nam Linh Commune, Nam Dan District), and Nguyen Ngoc Huy (born in 1995, residing in Nam Linh Commune, Nam Dan District) came to visit.

At approximately 10:30 PM that same day, due to a personal dispute, Phi stabbed Tú in the neck with a knife, causing the victim to die on the spot.

Not stopping there, Phi also stabbed Huy with a knife, causing him serious injuries. Huy was then taken to the hospital in critical condition by local residents.

Upon receiving the report, the Nghi Loc District Police arrived at the scene and coordinated with the professional departments of the Provincial Police to conduct a scene investigation and autopsy to aid in the investigation.

Initial investigations by the police identified Phi as the suspect in the case and launched a manhunt. After several hours of searching, the police apprehended the suspect while he was hiding in Nam Thuong commune (Nam Dan district).

Reportedly, both the suspect and the victim were workers at the Nam Cam Industrial Zone in Nghi Loc district.

The case is still under investigation by the authorities.
