Dog thief suspect beaten to death after shooting back at people
In order to escape the villagers' pursuit, two dog thieves used homemade guns to shoot back but could not escape the siege.
The Criminal Police Department (Thanh Hoa Police) is handling a case of a gang beating that left one dog thief dead and the other seriously injured.

On January 10, Truong Trong Linh (28 years old) and Dao Xuan Quang (30 years old, both from Vinh Tien commune, Vinh Loc district) rode a motorbike to Luong Noi commune, Ba Thuoc district, Thanh Hoa to steal dogs.
After catching two of them, the group was discovered by local people and together with the commune police, they chased and arrested them.According to authorities, Linh and Quang used beer bottles to fight back, injuring the Chief of Police of Luong Noi Commune. Continuing to be pursued by the people, the dog thieves used homemade guns to shoot many times in an attempt to escape.
However, before they reached Luong Noi commune, they were controlled. Many angry people surrounded and beat the two "dog thieves", seriously injuring them. Authorities seized a homemade gun, two dogs, and an electric shock device.
Linh died on January 11 due to severe injuries.
