Dog theft suspect beaten to death after firing back at residents.
In an attempt to escape the villagers' pursuit, the two dog thieves used homemade guns to fire back, but they were unable to break through the encirclement.
The Criminal Investigation Department (Thanh Hoa Provincial Police) is handling a case of mob violence that resulted in the death of one dog thief and serious injuries to another.

On January 10th, Truong Trong Linh (28 years old) and Dao Xuan Quang (30 years old, both from Vinh Tien commune, Vinh Loc district) rode their motorbike to Luong Noi commune, Ba Thuoc district, Thanh Hoa province to steal dogs.
After catching the two animals, the group was discovered by local residents, who, along with the local police, pursued and apprehended them.According to authorities, Linh and Quang used beer bottles to resist arrest, injuring the head of the Luong Noi commune police. Continuing to be pursued by the villagers, the dog thieves fired several shots from a homemade gun to threaten the villagers and try to escape.
However, before they reached Luong Noi commune, they were apprehended. Many angry residents surrounded and beat the two "dog thieves," causing serious injuries. Authorities confiscated a homemade gun, two dogs, and an electric shock device.
Linh passed away on January 11th due to her severe injuries.
