Despite being a fugitive, the 53-year-old woman continued to use her old tricks to swindle more victims.

According to investigators, in 2014, Ms. Thanh boasted about her extensive connections and claimed she could help Mr. Duong Van.
Bong (26 years old) worked at several government agencies in the area. After receiving 180 million VND from this man's family, she fled and is now wanted by the police.
While on the run in Hanoi, Ms. Thanh confessed that she still "took advantage" of the opportunity to commit fraud. The suspect bought four fake military uniforms and impersonated a lieutenant colonel working at an academy of the Ministry of National Defense to scam people by promising to "secure jobs."
Believing the boastful claims of this fugitive woman, the family of Phan Van Manh (residing in Thanh Tri district) asked her to arrange a job for their son for 140 million VND. Ms. Thanh received nearly 60 million VND in advance.
The case is still under further investigation.
