Nghi Loc has 22/29 communes meeting new rural standards.
(Baonghean.vn) - A consistent goal set by the Party Committee and government of Nghi Loc district is to strive to turn Nghi Loc into a dynamic and comprehensively developed locality, achieving the status of a new rural district by 2020.
By February 2020, Nghi Loc had 22/29 communes meeting the NTM standards, reaching 75.86%. In 2019 alone, 8 communes, namely Nghi Xa, Nghi Van, Nghi Hung, Nghi Cong Bac, Nghi Cong Nam, Nghi Dien, Nghi Van and Nghi Thach, were assessed and recognized by the province as NTM communes. The average number of criteria meeting the NTM standards was 17.5 criteria/commune, an increase of 1.2 criteria/commune compared to 2018.

With consensus, overcoming difficulties, and drastic direction, in 2019, the district asphalted and concreted 173.56 km of roads, an increase of 159.384 km compared to 2018.
The attention of the province and district is shown in the amount of cement supplied to build roads up to 29,572 tons, of which the people contributed 4,080 tons. The whole district currently has 234/234 km of inter-commune roads asphalted and concreted, reaching 100%; 299.32/372 km of inter-village roads asphalted and concreted, reaching 80.4%. Traffic has become more convenient and decent than before.

Many key projects of the district have been and are being completed such as: National Highway 48E (Quan Hanh - Cho Son section), main traffic route along the center of Quan Hanh town, Nghi Loc district; Provincial Road 534 to Dong Thuan green rice cake craft village, Nghi Trung commune, Nghi Loc district...
On the agricultural front, the district continues to build 11 “large field” models. In addition, with its potential advantages in industry and trade, Nghi Loc is becoming the destination of many projects in the area.
Nghi Loc is striving to have 7 more communes meeting new rural standards in 2020, including Nghi Kieu, Nghi Phuong, Nghi Thuan, Nghi Yen, Nghi Tien, Nghi Thiet and Nghi Quang, bringing the total number of communes meeting new rural standards to 29/29 communes, reaching 100% and completing the criteria for the district to meet new rural standards.
