Nghi Loc is taking decisive action to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.

The dissemination of information on COVID-19 prevention and control is one of the key tasks that Nghi Loc district is focusing on. This is evident in the numerous banners and slogans promoting COVID-19 prevention along the roads, as well as the public address systems at the grassroots level broadcasting twice daily with content aimed at raising public awareness of disease prevention and control. The district's electronic information portal website and radio and television station are also constantly updating the public with information and developments regarding the pandemic.

The district's Covid-19 prevention and control steering committee has issued 6 decisions, 2 plans, and 20 official documents directing departments, agencies, units, and communes and towns to implement the measures.
In particular, the district issued a 10-step procedure for managing, organizing, and supervising quarantine, creating uniformity in directing epidemic prevention and control efforts. The Culture and Information sector promptly disseminated 142 news items and 15 articles on the district's information systems (district's electronic portal, district's radio and television station).
At agencies, units, schools, the People's Committees of communes and towns, and other functional agencies, disinfectant chemicals have also been sprayed in residential areas, at 12 parish churches, and 9 sub-parish churches...

The District People's Committee also directed relevant agencies to review and monitor 51 foreigners working in the Nam Cam area. They provided information and advice on quarantine for those entering the country and conducted a comprehensive review and organized 12,698 families with relatives residing in other countries to sign commitments to participate in COVID-19 prevention and control. Through this, the Steering Committees at all levels proactively managed, organized, and supervised home quarantine for people returning from other countries.
As of April 1, 2020, the district has been organizing home quarantine for 262 people returning from other countries, and 615 people returning from or passing through provinces and cities experiencing outbreaks; and organizing quarantine at the district's center, Nghi An Commune Boarding High School (Vinh City), for 526 people returning from Laos and Thailand (of which 129 people have completed their 14-day quarantine period).

In addition to the centralized quarantine area, the district directed a survey and selection of another centralized quarantine area at Nguyen Duy Trinh High School to accommodate people returning from Laos and Thailand when absolutely necessary. Simultaneously, repairs to facilities and preparation of equipment were initiated for two centralized quarantine locations: the military's rear base (Hamlet 09, Nghi Thinh commune) and the Nghi Hop commune health station, with 19 rooms capable of quarantining 60 people.
The District General Hospital is preparing the necessary conditions to meet treatment needs: an isolation area (in the Infectious Diseases Department) with 25 beds; including a suspected case area with 3 beds (3 rooms), a treatment area with 12 beds, and an area for patients preparing for discharge with 10 beds; at the same time, it is equipping the hospital and health stations with some equipment, and providing equipment for epidemic prevention and control for the forces participating in epidemic prevention and control.
Ms. Truong Thi Thuong, Principal of Quan Hanh Town Kindergarten, said: "The school always strictly adheres to the guidelines on COVID-19 prevention and control and actively participates in supporting the COVID-19 prevention and control fund donation program launched by the district. Currently, the school has donated 6 million VND in cash, as well as eggs, rice, vegetables, fruits, and milk."
In an effort to share and demonstrate responsibility to the community, Tam Viet Enterprise donated 100 million VND in cash and 300 pairs of medical gloves. These meaningful activities have spread widely throughout the district, and according to statistics from the District Fatherland Front Committee, to date, 85 agencies, units, and individuals have directly donated or registered to donate through various channels in the district, totaling nearly 1 billion VND, nearly 3,000 kg of rice, and many other food items.
The People's Committee of Nghi Loc district has formed delegations to visit, provide money, gifts, vegetables, fruits, and instant noodles to support the service forces and citizens undergoing centralized quarantine; and donated 3 tons of vegetables and fruits to the 40th Cua Hoi Rehabilitation Center (Political Department of Military Region 4)...

In addition, the district continues to disseminate information and guidance, while helping people proactively implement disease prevention and control measures; strengthening management, organization, and supervision of isolation to ensure safety for the entire community; and effectively receiving donations for COVID-19 prevention and control directly at the District Fatherland Front Committee office.”
